You guys seem to know what your talking about.
So thats why im posting here instead of just general.
Anyone have the dimensions/weight of the 350z motor?
also of the transmission.
hell itd be cool if someone had a pic of the whole running gear.
(or just motor bolted to tranny.)
Thinking about joining my love of the 350z with my love of the locost.
THis way i could give rebirth to a dead z.
how much do junkyard motors run for? (since you guys seem to be able to find these often.)
Locost would be a +442 if you know what that means, 350z ish running gear. (the more the better, esp if i can find a totaled z to rework into this.)
Later on if i got bored of the power id procharge it.
think of it as a lighter 370z.

That's with no exhaust manifolds or accessories. FWD intake manifold on that one, but obviously the intake manifold weights won't vary too much.
There are weights for all components in this thread.

I have not weighed the 350Z 6 speed but I work on transmissions all day every day, and have lifted a 350Z trans by myself as I do with DSM and Evo transmissions, and I would put a good bit money on it being between 130-135lbs (the same as the AWD DSM transmissions that I lift about 8 times a day, so I'm pretty well versed on how much things in that weight range feel)
