** Update on my Car - Pics, Numbers, Videos **
congrats bert, i was wondering about your car the other day, havent seen it much lately.
was this the first VQ that those FD boys had worked on? seems to have done a great job. i look forward to some race threads.
you are right tho, it has been BORRRRING in here lately.

Congrats Alberto - nice to have all the odds and ends finally completed. Love the carPC setup w/ Haltech ECU mgr - and what is that navigation software? Would also love to see the dyno curves - sick power for the boost levels! Did you implement traction control too? I think you might consider that "cheating" - lol.
imo if its a functionality of the ecu its not....now the "ikea" shifter that id consider cheating
To answer the other Q's:
*The screen was on an aftermarket Garmin Nav. I have stock nav in the Z but the Nav is out of my DD, I was surprised to see the top speed feature and I put it in the Z to see what it actually was for the run. I did something similar a few nights ago (surpassing old limiter) and wondered how fast it really was. This is no car PC!
*The car is a 3.5L, but makes power like no other car Ive seen with such a "simple" set-up.
A good EMS, good fuel system, solid engine, and good tuning makes it possible. I DO NOT run TC on the Haltech, my right foot is the traction control

*I do have dyno chart files, but havent even saved them as pics, so I'll eventually get around to sharing.
*As far as running it at the track as much as I would LOVE to right now as the weather cools, Im going to enjoy the car and not run the risk of breaking it. The motor is not even on synthetic oil yet! I'll get around to it eventually-along with doing a cage so I dont get kicked out again.
Thanks to those that have left positive remarks...
Only headwork is the JWT valvetrain and BC cams, no port work, stock valves.
My old setup with S1 cams, and UTEC, DJ numbers.
13psi: 525whp 494ft/lbs
15psi: 580whp 578ft/lbs
The cams, EMS and some good tuning make a big diff!
David-the car isnt too much for the street, but I do find myself being more cautious in it. The day your slacking it will bite you in the a$$.
For whoever asked the CF duct is a Varis air duct.

That's a HUGE difference with the same turbos! It's even more impressive considering this new motor doesn't have ported & polished heads and/or oversized valves. WOW
Its hard enough hooking up the 675whp. That is power level 3/4. You can only imagine how much harder it gets as you go up in power and especially TQ. For right now, Im more than satisfied with what its doing. But to be honest I have considered it for track use but Im not at that stage yet.
I practive what I preach. I always tell people dont spend $3000+ on ported heads, for most people its not needed. Ive maxed the kit out on pump w/meth made strong numbers and no headwork of that kind....
I know stock VQ heads flow very well and aren't a limiting factor or weak link in these motors. Intense made 906whp with stock heads (just cams & valve springs). A lot of people may not be aware that stock VQ heads flow as well as ported 2JZ heads. However, I thought maybe some headwork had been done given your humongous increase in power at the same boost levels with the same turbos.

Good to hear that things are working well...did not know you took the car to Peter...great guy...expecially with RX7's.
I wont ask you about the cams as yet...I will wait for a few months to see if you still like them before looking into making that move.
Thats the same Fuel Cell I upgraded to...it looks badazzz
$1900 for a good Traction Control BERTO
Be safe

I love the cams. Like I said at first I did not. After driving the car more and more, and after the retune the midrange fattened up. I started the video at 80mph because from 60mph I was spinning bad. But I wanted to start from there to show how nasty 3rd gear was from the bottom of its powerband all the way to 7500rpm's. Only other downside on the cams was the reflash for the idle to come up to get the car to idle decent, so that was an added cost. The idle isnt as smooth as the S1's, but you have to give some to gain some.
