Default Toyo R888s vs clutch... Toyos won

A big THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Japtrix and Forged Performance!!!!!

I got my Toyo R888s on yesterday (305/30/19) and decided to try them out. Well, last night I broke my clutch, and I am scheduled to head up to Sebring on Saturday for the NASA event.

I pulled my car into Japtrix this morning, and Roger jumped on it right away. Japtrix didn't have a new clutch in stock, but they called Forged Performance, and between Ryan and Sharif, they managed to get a new Carbonetics Tripple Disk clutch shipped out today!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot thank Japtrix and Forged Performance enough for such outstanding customer service. Again, a BIG, BIG, BIG, THANK YOU to everyone at Japtrix and Forged Performance. It looks like I'll make it to Sebring after all.

Japtrix should get it Thursday, but after talking with Roger and Sharif, it sounds like what I need.

They went UPS, but from GA to FL is only 2 days, so it is scheduled to get there on Thursday.

A flywheel is integral to multiplate clutches.

It was the Clutchmasters flywheel that came with the kit.

You outed me... The motor is just breaking in enough to where I can push it a little bit, I got the new tires, and maybe forgot that the FX600 is a street clutch. Still, I thought it would be stronger than the FX400, but that does not appear to be the case.

Anyway, I think the Carbonetics triple disk will hold up to the punishment. I was sooooo close to buying that originally but, based on what I had heard about the FX400, I thought the FX600 would be more than adequate, and I thought I was saving alot of money. Lesson learned.

Now I hope I don't end up regreting going with the DDS level 2 axles instead of the level 5s...

the only downside i see with the carbon multiplate clutches is that you gotta get them nice and warm to really grab. driving on the highway i usually gotta do a hard 3rd gear pull before it will hold all the power.

Roger said that with the FX400, at the track he has done 6k dumps using racing slicks, and has not seen any problems with the FX400. I was trying to launch around 3-4k.
