Background Info
2003.5 G35 Coupe
6MT
I was searching through some threads about swapping to a 3.3 fd because traction is getting a little ridiculous at 550 hp and room to move up. So I saw that people were topping out at 112-113 in 4th gear and I realized that I am crossing the traps at 125 hitting the 7200 rev limiter in 4th gear
then i opened up my service manual and it showed this

Am I the first person to notice this? I havent had anyone mention this in any of the other 3.3fd discussions

cars parked for the winter but I know for sure I am banging rev limiter at the end of a 125 mph trap 1/4 mile. And this is using a MT bias ply 26x11.5 which i believe is shorter than a stock wheel and tire combo
if i can remember correctly i am at about 2300 rpm at 65, that is just a really rough estimate

3.3 @ 126mph trap - not terminal speed - was roughly 7000rpm's through the traps.
I would trap 116mph with a 3.5 going through at about 6800rpm's on stock block.
At 60mph I sit at 2050rpm's in 6th now, I doubt you have a 3.3FD.
112mph is 4th gear at 6600rpm's on a 3.5FD.
Easy way to tell, with 7000-7200rpm's in 3rd redline with a 3.5 is around 95mph, with the 3.3 its 105-110mph easy.

my 60 mph rpm is a total guess, ill drive the car tonight and report back later
is it possible that the G35 FSM has a typo in it?

alright, nevermind. The 2003 fsm is wrong, I have a 3.5 fd
i used a calculator and 4th gear with a 3.5 would theoretically do 126ish at redline which is what im hitting
