interesting bad built motor thread on G35driver.......
Like I said before just to be clear. I dont have the report yet.
Im anxious to find out why my second built motor didnt fire on start up. As I stated both parties agree whoever is at fault to completely 100 percent stand behind their work and get me back on the road at no out of pocket expense to me with no questions asked no EXCUSES MADE. . Both parties agreed to the shop and both agreed it was unbias. Since this motor had nothing to do with me failing apon start up. I will post the results tommorrow to whoever is at fault and what they are gonna do. I hope both parties keep their verbal agreement with me as they stated

proper grammar has nothing to do with technicality and Sam is a hightly skill turner and has very good knowledge with VQ engines. You don't have to communicate well in order to perform well in your field.
First of all, good luck Rome. I know how it feels...trust me.
Secondly, since my name was dropped into the thread, I just thought I'd make it clear with no guesses or assumptions. This is just my experience, and not related to anything else in this thread.
I have a 4.24L stroked GTM VQ Motor. After it was completed, I drove it around at wastegate boost 99% of the time. Drove it around for 4 months of so, then shipped it back to Canada when I had to move back. Customs seized it for 7 months, and the car was not touched at all (2 inches thick of dust on the car, mileage unchanged, settings unchanged, etc). When I got it back, I drove it for about 1 month before things started going wrong. It was spewing coolant. We thought it was the thermostat, so we gutted it. Ran fine for another 2 weeks. Then spewing coolant again. We flushed the radiator, and changed the cap. Ran fine for another week. Spewed coolant again. At this point I was bleeding it every other day just to be able to get it moving. Finally took it to a competent local shop and diagnosed it to be a loss of pressure in cylinder #6. Headlift. Shop called Sam and I was told that it will not be warranteed as it's been over a year. Understandable, although I drove it for only about 5 months, with a total of about 5000 miles. Never tracked. Never beat on excessively. I paid for the head gasket replacement out of pocket.
I don't blame GTM, as they are right that they don't know what had happened. It was too far for me to ship it, and to just replace a head gasket, it was not financially viable. But I know how I drove it, and I don't think the engine was meant to take a beating, despite the pricetag. That's my own opinion. But to say that it was GTM's fault, who knows? Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't. I can't honestly say at this point.
My engine never blew, it was just a head gasket.
I'm neutral at this point. I paid for it myself. The car has since been running fine and was sold. That's all I have to say.

I would hate to own a business and advertise on this sky is falling forum. I saw where gothchic posted something like gtm was like Aam and mention vrt. Wow is all I can say. Salem witch trials come to mind.....
you gotta wonder, if it was so incredibly easy to make a bulletproof 600whp car for under $80k, why don't more car companies cash in on it?
Even OEM cars break stuff
At least some of us know throwing more money at a build isn't going to make every possible problem magically never show up again. They will.
IMO the more power you run, the more problems you're going to have - expensive or not.
I could be wrong, but I also tend to think more maintenance than normal is needed with higher powered cars.

24 pages of customer heartbreak and huge money lost and your only response is pity for gtm?gtm is guilty of lies, character assasination, diversion tactics, finger pointing, cover ups and when that obsticle course is laid out it's followed by a "if you can prove it's our fault we'll take care of it" or "send it back to us and we'll tell you what we think".who has the stamina to negotiate all that bs and if you do you still haven't cleared the final hurtle....nutswingers.what planet are you living on?

oh yeah, supras....don't they like I dunno, have cast iron engines engineered specifically from the ground up for punishment and boost?
yup, that's the cost of "reliability" and a warranty at work

reliable as in what?
how many miles and whp are they running?
...didn't know Intense or Injected even did their own machine work with building engines BTW...interesting, nothing listed on their site
I would suggest everyone take a step back and wait for the report to come in..
if you don't have a failed engine from GTM.. and most of you in here are my friends in that category.. do me a favor and back off
wether you guys who had no engine failures with GTM like it or not.. you are burning uneccssary bridges.. wait for the results.. let those who had issues with GTM go at GTM
no one knows the results so it go either way at this point.. just do me a favor and chill out till the results are in
