Is your car currently sitting at GTM? If so which one is it?

Vinny has treated me and my car very well, which is why i will continue to go to him for work with my Z, and whatever it is he gets into next. when my car was being built vinny built the motor, he ported the heads, put the cams in, and tuned it. when it was anything motor related i knew exactly who to talk to. and once it gets warm here in the north again, vinny is gonna hit the track hard, and i plan on taking my car to the next level. so hopefuly everything gets sorted out and we can come together as a community who share a passion for these cars and go out and represent them the way they should.

I think you are missing what I am saying. I didn't retract my statement. I just stated that I reread what you posted and I agree with what you are saying. I never disagreed. I was just stating that I like the approach of a shop the builds their own motors better than a shop that outsources. This is not at all Rome's fault. He did do it the right way. Just that he had bad luck in the way his situation has to be resolved because the motor was built by a third party shop.

With 68 posts in this thread, i think you should be a little more clear exactly what your agenda is. because you are obviously very invested in this, and you cannot be taken seriously with your anonymous statements. i highly doubt you are here to benefit anyone but yourself at this point. your claims have zero value, as a bum off the street could sign in from the library and claim hes some master engine builder with a "waiting list" and had to fix mistakes by others blah blah. are you actually someone? now you are researching the pricing? you are pretty suspicious if not just plain shady. its not your place to share info of your own personal experiences? do you need to ask your mom for permission? seriously?

you could have blown someones engine and decided to point fingers at GTM, or you could be a small shop that is jealous of the success at GTM, or you could be a complete nobody who has fantasies of being an engine builder. or maybe you are world reknown engine builder... but if you dont state who you are, what business you represent, and why you REALLY care about the topic at hand, your posts may as well just be deleted because they are of no value. if you would like to add any sort of credibility to your 68 posts and endless hours into this thread, please fill in the blanks...

Haha, big suprise. I'm sure the mod "took it upon himself" to close it, though.

Kevin, given your past with MRC you should not have involved yourself. My opinion only.

What does my past experiances with Julian and MRC have to do with the current situation? I hold no grudge against him or MRC (or anyone else).

I didn't bash him, I didn't blame him, I didn't bring up anything from the past. In fact, in the end, as I said in the G35driver thread, I think he went the extra mile for his customers. I don't 100% agree with how he did it but I do believe his intentions did have the customers in mind.

I don't agree with how he did it because of how he did it (ie his dramatic first post in the G35driver thread "threatening legal action against a shop to be named later"), not because him and I have had issues since I purchased my Utec from him at MRC years ago.

+1 let's hear some "truth" as go-fast seems to be intent on a GTM smear-campaign while at the same time protecting his own interests, playing a hush-hush game with his so called "experience" with GTM, and his godly motor-building skills.

Not all shops. SP Engineering is in So Cal and you have a 2 months waiting list. Good thing is that when your number's up, they work on it right away so you don't have to have your car rotting at the shop. Nitrous should take his GTR there, as they're working on one right now, beefing it all up. They're mainly modify exotics and z is just a child's play for them.

Did anyone remember THIS thread? I wasn't here in 2004 but I was just doing a lot of searching into motor failures and whatnot and found this . . . .

https://my350z.com/forum/search.php?searchid=7453650

Seems like the blame game is not new. But Z1 Motorsports is still a sponsor here regardless.

i'll keep it simple so there is no mis-understanding,gtm made it personal with me on these forums long ago.their arrogance fuels my fire and this is the first negative gtm thread that wasn't quickly squashed,so i invested the time.my anominity is what gives me credibility,i claim no tribe and critic all bs that i see on here.if you look at my previous post's you will see i don't play favorites .it's sad that you don't see value in my participation in this thread considering my position defends the customer.

What exactly did I say that you guys have a problem with?

The only thing I said against Julian is that he has no lawsuit - and I stand by that. To threaten a lawsuit when you have no documentation to back it up is rediculous and typical MRC drama. We all know there will be no lawsuit.

Other then that, like I've now said several times Julian handled the situation in a manner that would provide results for the customer.

one thing that i do not understand is why is this matter being crazed out on the forums. If the 2 companies involved acted like it was a business all this "net" talk wouldn't be necessary. There is no need for one shop to publicly bad mouth another shop childishly over the forums in my opinion. I consider that slandering the name and workmanship of the shop at hand, and perhaps embarrassing your own shops name. This matter should be resolved between the parties at hand and come to a conclusion with themselves like a business should do. (nothing you can do about the customer shouting it out, but hey all legalities between 2 businesses should be handled behind closed doors unless it affects a party of people)
