if you are going to retool for casting... why dont you get rid of the middle man (APS) and do it yourself? If they are going to drop the ball on the product, now is your chance to pick up the slack... why pay them taxes on it? They just copied the idea from crawford anyway.

They felt like it was too late in the product life cycle to pay to have the retooling done so they discontinued the product and left it up to us to make a decision if we want to revive it. Essentially if we have them made we'll be paying the retooling costs, thus needing such a high quantity order to make it worthwhile.
I bet APS was losing market share due to the popularity of plenum spacers and the arrival of the Cosworth plenum onto the scene. I wouldn't be surprised if this factored into their decision as well.

Excellent point. I doubt there are any patent problems either since APS wasn't the only company offering an increased volume plenum for the VQ.

ya there wouldnt be any patent issues. i mean, if they were still making it then i wouldnt say to even bother... but if they dont want to do it anymore there is no reason you should have to fund their manufacturing.

i know that if we stopped making our products, that another manufacturer would jump on the opening in the market... someone has to make the parts that there is a demand for!

ohh don't worry I'll fill you in as if you don't already know.

when the trans on my 03 Z went out, we bought a replacement from you guys which you claimed was from an 05 z. when it was actually shipped I cold tell there was obvious damage to the trans mounts which was never disclosed before we purchased it.

after seeing this I became suspicious and looked up the vin # on the transmission only to find out that it was in actuallity a transmission from an 03 z. I had specifically stated before I bought it that I under no conditions wanted another 03 trans. I paid nearly a $1000 for it believing it was an 05.

when I called you about it you said "ohh well we couldn't find the 05 trans so we sent you this 03 trans instead we didn't think it would matter, ohh but don't worry it's fine". then when I asked for a substantial refund because you lied about what you sold me, you said ohh well you might as well send it back because that will never happen. Finally after several heated conversation over the phone we finally recieved a refund for exactly that amount that we demanded and were told we would never get.

ohh by the way I have several witnesses and many photos if you need anymore memory jogging.

and the 03 trans that you sold me is starting to pop out of 5th gear now under heavy load (which you were already told about, and have made no effort to correct).

I will never deal with you guys ever again and I encourage others to do likewise. you guys screwed me over now watch as I do the same by telling my story.

hows your memory now.

Well considering that I didn't work here when this was going on the question is not about my memory.

even if you don't work there (this was almost a year ago) I still wouldn't buy again from what I conscider to be a highly unreputable company. nor would I ever recommend you guys to a fellow Z owner (of which I know many). quite the contrary I will tell my story of how I was a very unsatisfied customer.

more over I would like to extend the invitation to you and your co-workers in person at zdayz this year (if it is put on this year) so I can further explain why I am extremely unsatisfied wth your company, if you truly care about your customers as you claim to be.

or if you send me a PM you can call me. but until you address this issue I will continue to tell about our history togeather and our rather appauling finnal outcome
