Default any FI VQ40DE (pathfinder)

Long story short paid off my 05 pathfinder few months back and trade in is laughable due to suv/truck market decline. So I figure Ill keep it even though I really wanted a new 6spd Pro-4X.

Did some quick searches and stillen came up- but no price or specs are listed.Given that stillens SC gains on the VQ35de are laughable its probably not the route i want to take.So anyone ventured down the VQ40de road?

he vq40 is really a different motor than the vq35de. the block is different....much tall deck height. the cranks aren't interchangable either....different bearing diameters.

I have a VQ40 Xterra and im on a few forums for the X.

search youtube for a guy named SEXTERRA - "EDWARD WEBB" I BELIEVE.

get it, SE Xterra..........as in SE model Xterra...
anyways, he has a Stillen super charger - hes in Houston, TX.

he has some good videos of strong pulls considering hes lifted and running 35's mud terrain tires.

SO YA, you can put that in your pathy...

You wouldnt want to......its different as QUADCAM says in post #3 of this thread.

it wouldnt rev as high as a 350Z VQ35 engine.....the different features he speaks of take away from that for a sports car application...

your better off stroking a Z engine as some have already..

07 Pathfinder is my daily, I have thought about it and a rear mount turbo would be a good option IMO.

Gotta remember that is not the little m60 s/c that the vq gets.It is a m90 that the vq should have got.
