Soon Tom... Soon. I still don't have the car yet. I'm on a famly vacation at Disney. Its 100* today man its hot here.
Unfortunately, I will have to get the car inspected on the 29th of June, right when I bring it home, so I may need to mount the new rears right away which may cut down on the tire smoking vids.
Waiting on the new numbers from Dave too - only 5 more days till pickup. Dave said there is a slight problem with the meth bottle too. Under acceleration the float is moving up and down and arming and disarming the system. He will attempt to remedy this somehow.
ALL I KNOW IS THAT THE CAR NEEDS TO BE READY ON 6/24

The vid is funny.... not me driving, thats Dave confirming that the car still made boost after we put the intakes back on . I've still never driven the car since before the first motor died.
The late night tuning proved to be for naught, we ran out of pump immediately, even after adding more meth. Looks like the fuel mods will come in handy after all - CJM rails, dual Walbros and possibly individual FPRs as well - coming in the fall at the latest.
After leaving a trail of fire exiting Florida yesterday I decided to just bust it and drive all the way through to PA, just over 14 hours door to door. The Yamaha V8 in the wife's XC90 is a gas pig, but that thing rips for an SUV . Had a slight issue though, have no ride back to VA to pick up the car today.... issue solved, I will close one of my restaurants early and pay one of my college kids to drive me down and drop me off. The crazy **** these cars make us do .
MUST HAVE CAR TODAY!!!!
Dave wants to spend some time logging with me behind the wheel to make sure that the maps are as smooth as possible for my around town driving style. I figure it will take 20 min or so before he starts telling me to stop driving like a little girl. I know the car will scare me and I am not trying to test any limits until I am comfortable with the car again. After all, I haven't driven a stick or sports car since Thanksgiving morning and this should be a bit of a change from driving my SUV.
IF ANYONE HAS AN EXTRA GALLON OF METH OR BOOST JUICE AND IS HEADED TO THE F:T EVENT ON SUNDAY, I WILL BUY IT FROM YOU. THE METH I ORDERED PRIOR TO VACATION IS STILL NOT IN. THANKS!!

<----always has meth and a big can of rape ready
You may not always have race gas in the tank
Cass-Do you run 50/50 or 100% meth? You can buy some bottles of HEET (100%) meth and mix yourself! Its available at all parts stores. Or you can try to go to Wal-Mart and find some CONCENTRATE windshield washer fluid also 100% meth-that would be the cheapest.

I'm running 50/50. I ordered 3 gallons of pure meth to cut, but its still not in. May go the heet route if necesary. Also, there is a 100 octane pump just down from my house, but I'm not sure how the ECU will handle that and its $6.25/gal
Almost ready to head out to F:T now, another 5 hours in the car FTL!!

Call and see if they have it, if not they may know who does. You could also try contacting Williams Grove office, they surely know of a methanol supply.
Good to see the car running, now go get us some WOT videos.
Where is the 100 octane pump located? Last I knew the Sunoco on Market Street by 83 had shut down.
*Edit*
I also found a source in York that the biodiesel guys use, I don't know if they sell in less than 55gal ($140-ish) drums though.

Let me preface this next post by first saying that this is not a joke, it is 100% truth. I just received a call from Dave as I was leaving to go to VA and he is on the side of the road. He was doing some more clean up street tuning prior to my arrival and says the car puked coolant everywhere and has rod knock.
I SPUN ANOTHER BEARING
I am absolutely crushed and haven't felt like this since my Dad passed away last year. I never had the car in my possession this time and I don't really know what my options are. The block was machined and spec'd out by Justice Racing with all parts labeled for assembly, assembled and installed by Frank Hill, and tuned by Function:Tuned.
This was already done the other day, tune was reduced to low 6XXwhp so the fuel pump would not be overworked.
Just to be completely clear here, I wanted this car to make the most HP possible and spent money on the best parts and components to make this happen. I do not tell shops that I want to see XXXwhp, I had a goal and achieved that goal, making the car make power is not my department.
I am trying vry hard not to post out of anger and/or frustration, so I may keep my posts to a minimum while I gather info on what my options are.

why not back the tune off until you can get your fuel straightened out. Seems absolutely crazy after all your 'problems' to bandaid your motor with methanol.

I'm so sorry and bummed to hear this. I hate to see something like this happening to such a stand up guy in the VQ community. You deserve better than such short lived success my friend. I wish you the best with whatever you choose to do with your Z from this point forward.
