Default ? for others with installed procharger

Well, I spent all day yesterday driving my car around. It is sweet. Anyways, I have some odd noises coming from the belts I believe. I'm wondering if anyone else has these or if it's something I need to look more closely into. I've checked every belt I could and they all are tracking properly and tight, but not too tight.

When I'm driving and not accelerating or decelerating, just maintaining a constant speed, I get a ringing sound. It's a constant pitch and is somewhat annoying when my windows are down. When I accel or decel it goes away. Any ideas???

Oh and did I mention that my car is fast as hell now...

Oh, and here's a final pic of my install. Just for those curious as to what it looks like on a PPW.

jesse: Is that the Non-polished blower? It doen't look shiney like mine does.

Also, I don't notice the noises you are talking about.

I think I know the noise you're talking about Jesse, and it only seems to do it at certain rpms. I suspect it is some kind of resonance coming from the gears in the blower, and I doubt there is anything you could do about it. Maybe it will quiet down some after the blower break-in is complete....

Yeah, I got the non polished one.

The noise seems to happen right around 1800 RPM. It really sounds like one of the bolts on the pulleys aren't tight enough and the pulley bearing is rubbing against the head of a bolt, but all the bolts are super tight. I don't know, it's irritating as hell and makes the car sound like it's falling apart.

One other thing..... When I installed the intercooler there was a sensor behind it and below the airbag sensor that I can only assume is the outside air temp sensor. The reason I'm assuming that is if I look at the outside air temp on the gauge it reads at anywhere from 97 - 112. Seems like my outside air temp is now an intercooler temp sensor. Did you guys move that sensor and is the readings from that used by the car to calculate fuel settings?

Jesse

Is there a break in procedure I'm supposed to follow? I hope not because I've been fully testing it's capabilities if you know what I mean.

I don't think so. Just change the oil at 500 miles and tighten the pulleys at 100 or something like that.

They recommend that you let the car warm up fully to normal operating temp before driving it......but that's not really a break-in procedure, that's all the time.

That outside air temp sensor is not used to adjust fuel settings.....there is a another temp sensor thats right behind the MAF sensor.....this is the one the ECM looks at

Hope i'm not speaking out of line here, since my Procharger is only halfway installed

I've been letting the engine warm up before I go wild, so I should be fine I guess. Well that's good about the temp sensor. I didn't really need an outside air temp sensor. I'd much rather know how hot my intercooler is running.
