So I've put on about 1,500 turbocharged miles since the car was finished with the HKS Setup Kit. The only minor issue that I ran into was a fuel leak. The o-ring from one of the fuel rail's had gone bad; easy fix. I drove the car from LA to Vegas for SEMA without any issues and has been running very strong since completion of the turbo work. I finally installed HKS's new EVC VI and cranked up the boost to 7.7 psi and is now making 383RWHP and 390RWTQ. The initial power that the car was putting down was at 315RWHP which was some what of a disappointment but I was still very happy due to the fact that with all the custom fabricated work, the car was reliable. I wanted to crank up the boost a bit more but it seems though that the actuator's on the GT-RS turbo that is supplied with the kit is already maxed out.
All in all; even with my skepticism of turbocharging a car that wasn't meant to be from the manufacturer, I am very pleased with the results. The ideal goal was to be able to have a reliable twin turbocharged car that can be driven daily and even long distance and this goal has been accomplished. The use of high quality HKS parts has proven that you can still build a reliable twin turbocharged 350Z with minimal maintenance and engine issue's. In addition, with the expertise of fabrication and install from Georgheinz Rios and the highly experienced HKS Pro Dealer; SP Engineering, performing the tuning of the F-Con VPro; the combination was nothing short of a great success.

Well the design concept all originated with the color change of the car. Since I was sponsored by HKS and Johnny wanted me to change the color of my car for cover feature, naturally red made sense. The graphic scheme concept was my idea which I was inspired by recent HKS car's (I even changed tire sponsors to Yokohama from Bridgestone just to get the look right!) and I had SandA Design put it on paper, make adjustments, and then cut and apply it. They did a great job, chrome vinyl is very difficult to work with and my design has 2 layers of it. They literally did the car in one day, no joke!
