not trying to jack thread btw, sorry
If I were you I'd take it into the shop just to make sure that it wasn't the engine. It takes like 10 minutes for the guy to hook it up, read the codes.. and tell you if there's something obviously wrong.

Don't risk it.. Who knows what a messed up UTEC can do to an engine. I'm just glad that mine didn't blow because of the faulty ECU.

just buy a code reader. It is like 70$ and you can read/delete the codes right away. Imo a must have tool in any modified car.

Good call.

Btw did you get your car back? Dave told me he had another PL kit to tune tonight and I'm pretty sure that would be yours!

the car is running smooth, shows no signs of something being wrong. but it does feel a bit down on power. the closest reputable shop is 3.5 hr drive. were there any tell tale signs?

Sorry, I don't know how to edit the title of this thread or I would..

Anyways,

Called up Dave because it's been a long time since he had my car and he basically told me that TurboXS has to "inspect" the UTEC first before sending out a new one. Bah, I wonder how long that would take.. but I bet it's because it's Christmas season no one is working

Will update again.. thanks for reading!

Turbo XS has had mine for more then a few weeks now. It might be a while till you get it back or if they even send you a new one to replace the old one. Maybe Dave will give you a loaner? Thats what Jeremy did for me.

Didn't ask Dave for a loaner.. I didn't think this would be such a major issue. I really thought it would take max a week. It's been 2 weeks I think now.

I think it's just Christmas and all but I went ahead and gave TurboXS a call today to see if they're actually doing something about it and it appears that there's no one at the office.. Phone just kept ringing with no answering machine :-(
