I'm running stock flywheel.
There is another local guy up here running same clutch/flywheel as me on a JWT700tt built block setup too. He DD's his.

The clutch is a touch heavier than stock. The engagement period is very short. You get used to it of course. I don't DD my car (I live in city, chicago, and take bus to work lol) so doesn't bother me.

Lack of chatter is nice though with the single disk.

I definately recommend it for those that don't want to spend a ton of money on clutch and are making <700rwhp. I know on hi-boost i'm in a grey area with this clutch.

Yea. this clutch is used a lot by the higher HP 300ZX TT guys. They use LWFW (fidanza is common among them) with this clutch no problem.
I went with stock flywheel in the hopes that the inertia of the stock flywheel would help with launching the car a little. (haven't had a good test though cause I haven't been on a sticky tire yet)

its not a cheap build thats for sure. remember that you get what you put into it. if you put mediocre parts, you get mediocre results. also, you will need a standalone for that power.

Glad to see its working out good for you Tom,
That clutch is a monster.

I tried for 3 years to kill the one I had in my car and simply could not hurt it.

About 30 or so 1/4 mile runs and lots of abuse on the street it had barely wore any material off of it.

Here is a post I made about it over on TT.net when I first pulled it out.

SPD,
I may have bought one through you over there lol.

I may be leaving it (but selling it)....I am just overpowering the clutch now..ugh....900+bhp and and 850ft-lbs of tq are just too much I think....and I may pick up a little more tq which will just make it worse.....

It holds great though at the 650rwhp portion..
And its held up to 4000 hard miles no prob. If I were in the 500-650rwhp range I'd keep it for sure. 700rwhp+ I think is just too much now....

fyi - originally we were not planning on making over 650rwhp.....but we all know how long that lasted lol.

Actually you bought it from me here. I use to be a sponser on here, Coz sorta pushed his way in and took my clutch business on here so it wasnt worth me paying the money every month.

At 650 is already over its "rated" TQ at the flywheel

The kits are really under rated @ 690tq.

Is it slipping? On paper it should more.

I would really like to know what it can hold, How much have you pushed it? What's the highest power you have gave it?

Spd,
Clutch just started slipping at end of the season on the high-er boost tune (690rwhp up to the 769rwhp tune).

But it wouldn't always slip...it would only happen if you took it through tq pk and hp pk in 4th+ gears....

so basically on long higher gear pulls is when it would start to slip up top....and it wouldn't go fully away, but it was definately slipping (or I was spinning at 130mph.....so I'm quite sure it was clutch slip lol).
But that is how it would feel, like I was having some wheel slip at high speeds, and rpm would start moving faster than it was prior but I wasn't accellerating faster.

Great clutch though. I would definately recommend it for folks up to like 650rwhp/tq.....and you can't touch that price.

Thanks again though, I'll let ya/everyone know which clutch I decide to go with. IF I don't have a new clutch in it at beginning of season I'll do a good test of power levels to see where it finally gives up for ya though.

Could have it built to hold more TQ, That pressure plate can be up'd to around 3,000lbs but a twin is probably in order @ 900hp
