Default Greddy 18G Twin Turbo

i got so confused when i was reading in greddys official website ,, that the greddy twins 18g work on 03-04 ONLY ??

i have an 5AT 06 with the following mods:

JWT popcharger
Greddy evo tt exhaust
Unorthodox stock size pulley
MoterDyne 5/16 Plenum Spacer With ISO Thermal
OBX Throttle Body Spacer
Helix Test Pipes
GTM Transgo

And im ready to go F/I ,, and i have good information cuz i Search ALOT,,

i was just gona place my order on the kit then i read that its only for 03-04 ,, is this thing right ?

if so i have to go with the tuner turbo 20G ,, so any idea of Fuel injectors to run 450-500 Whp ? Thinking of about 750cc ?

please guys any one has an 05-06 with The greddy 18g ?

OP, you need to do a lot more reading. you have a VQ35DE since you are automatic 06 so its the same as a 03-04 essentially. not sure if there is a difference for auto vs manual though. if want your motor to go kaboom then you can get 450~500whp from that kit and your current setup. if you want a reliable 450 to 500whp then i would highly recommend at least a built bottom end, along with a fuel return system, 650~850cc injectors, a stand alone EMS or at the very very least a utec, bigger radiator, oil cooler if you track your car often, harmonically balanced pulley, oil temp gauge, boost gauge, A/F gauge. and of course a great tune.

good luck, and just keep in mind, if you decide to risk it, a blown motor will cost you at least 8 to 10k in repair costs.

i know this information ,, and the weakest point is the connecting rod ,, at first im guna run low boost ,, after that ill lower my pistons compretion to 8.5:1 ,, eagle h Beam connecting rods ,, HKS head gasget ,, so i could boost up ,, not gona bother about the crank shaft

nexx i really know that they are the EXACT same ,, but do u risk 8k$-10k$ not on a blown motor ,, but on a turbo that doesn't fit ur car ??? common seriuosly guys who would buy a turbo that the manufacter says that its for 2003-2004 ??

so my question is ,, does it fit an 06 ??

btw , there was a thread about an greddy tt blown TURBO !! cuz of the people who installed it didnt install the filters cuz they claim that they dont fit ,, so what i was thinking is that maybe that guy had an 05 or 06

i could easly send greddy an email ,, but i thought why wont i post here since i dont post that often ,, but dont know why some people always think that i dont have info and i need to search !! i seriuosly READ ALOOOOOOOOOOT ,, i know so good information that im so positive that i could tt my car

I thought they changed the layout slightly on the 06 models and that means that the mounting points for some of the piping may not match up. I am not a Greddy guy, so I cannot speak with absolute knowledge on this.

I would imagine you are correct in your assumption that if the kit is listed as 03-05 its like that for a reason. You should send a PM to one of the shops like Forged and Sharif should be able to tell you for sure.

The only kit I know of that has an 06 specific fitment is the Powerlab Single. You can PM Darren at Intense Motorsports to get more info on this kit and look at the resent threads in the F/I section as there have been a few recent 06 installs lately. Good Luck OP.

also due research on the different FI kits. The greddy tt kit isn't what anyone would call a "full kit", and has a number of other flaws. Take time and weigh the various options you have if you have committed yourself to go FI.

Don't know why everyone was avoiding the question.....Yes, it will fit. I have a 06 M/T (REV UP) with the 18gs. I wasn't aware that Greddy made a Tuner kit, but if they do and it doesn't include injectors run at least 550cc unless you want to go for more HP in the future. Then run bigger.

No need to worry about the injectors now if u wanna run a low boost setup and Yes the Kit will fit your car, just keep in mind that you have to worry about the Tune now first thing to do at least get a UTEC or any good EMS and sell that Blue E-Manage don`t even think about running with it :/ second thing i see that there`s no problem to stick with GReddy Twin 18G although theres good Kits are out now like GTM for Example but the problem is not the kit or the Engine the problem is the Transmission before even thinking that u`ll maxout the Turbo`s and to think how much ur engine can take, the built transmission limits is 550-600 WHP i don`t think that the GReddy can`t run that, ok one more thing about the engine Get a good 9.0 Compression Pistons such as Arias Extreme not 8.5 doing it will net you more power off boost and will give u more WHP per PSI.
