As far as motor mods, I am match porting the Cosworth and Injected Performance spacer to the intake runners (the spacer is used to get the Cosworth to clear the fuel rails). The intake runners are already matched to the heads, I did that during round one. I'm also going to look into lightening the crank a bit. I haven't yet spoken to Larry at So. Fla. Crank and Machine about lightening the crank, so I'm not completely sure about that part. I want to get his opinion before I make a decision on it. (No stroker motor yet, at least not until it's time for new pistons or I blow this one up ).

HKS 1000cc. These were machined by FP to fit into the stock locations in the intake runners.

The only fuel rails that I am aware of that don't need the spacer are the Cosworth fuel rails. I had your fuel system months before I decided to go with the Cosworth intake plenum. Moreover, I haven't seen any opinions on the Cosworth fuel setup. Your's was recommended to me by a number of people when I was making my fuel system decision.

i would be extremely surprised to find that the cosworth rails wouldnt need the spacer to fit with those injectors also.... a stock dimension injector like a deatschwerks i bet would fit without the spacer (any rails)... but the HKS 1000cc raise the rails about a half inch up. i could be wrong, never tried, but it makes sense to me.

The HKS injectors were machined by FP to sit lower, but I don't know if they are as low as stock injectors.

Edit. This is from the Injected Performance web page:

"If you have an upgraded fuel system with larger than stock injectors, we also recommend the Injected Performance Lower Plenum Spacer, which can be purchased below."

"Due to Cosworth's tight tolerances around the stock fuel system, a spacer kit is required to fit aftermarket (taller) injectors and/or aftermarket fuel rails."

So you may be right. Perhaps with the deatschwerks injectors the stock spacer is not needed with your fuel rails if they are stock height.
