Both have excellent potential to make power. We all know this. But as I'm looking at this GT42R today I was wondering would the GT42R be a better deal vs the Greddy TT kit? Let's assume for a 600 whp application. I must admit my knowledge on Turbo's is slightly limited to the basics like what components are, knowledge on the size of compressors, and how they work but while they are functioning is where I lack.
Performance wise (1/4 mile, acceleration) which way is the best option? I know alot of Supra and Skyline guys in Japan here opt for the T88 turbo or the GT47-88 which is a helluva turbo but as to why I do not know. One guy told me weight was a reason to convert to single.
Or is anyone running the HKS GT3037's? How do they compare to the Greddy 20G?

The 42R would be better in the 1/4 because you could make more boost pressure than than the twin set up. (injected's drag car and SP for example.)
The GReady twin will give you a more responsive drive due to the fast spool up times.
For 600whp Go for the PL 35r or 37r. Pleople always think bigger is better. Not always the case. The CORRECT size turbo for the output is the better choice. The 37R will give you big power and a decent spool response.
Hope that helps.

I have a GT42R on my personal 350Z, and it is a blast and a very capable turbo. That being said, it is faar more complicated to fabricate an entire kit to properly fit it, than bolt on a Greddy twins setup. It is apples to oranges we are comparing here. Unless you have wild goals or just want to do something different, there are plenty of good kits out there that will save you lots of trouble and time.
If you want big power, and something that will fit easily without modification then our Stage 5 Twin Turbo system is the one for you - twin GT35R's should do the job

George...can you give me a brief comparison between GTMs twin turbo verses APS TT.
I am currently running the APS TT (built motor) and want to move to the extreme or the best
kit for reliable high power. I have the extreme fuel system, 3 1/2" test pipes, 3" exhaust and F-Con, all tuned by Sharif. Dyno at 11psi 480 WHP, 14 psi 520 with water injection. Have 16000 miles on current setup but will be installing new built long block with Cosworth heads
C2 cams. Hope that is enough info for you.
Thanks!
Mike

Well I am also an APS owner, I have the APS Extreme on my car currently and I really wish Sam would have developed these kits sooner

The Stage 4 with Twin GT30s spools faster than my extreme kit while still having higher power capabilities. If you want to go for really big power then the Stage 5 with GT35Rs is the kit for you.
If all my piping wasn't power coated and thermal coated, and if I could deal with the down time, there would be an APS Extreme TT in the classifieds right now.
In the next week or so we will make a post comparing all the twin turbo systems on the market.
Take care Mike,
