Default deatsch werks 600 inj impedance

help needed. i am sitting with a set of dw 600cc inj and want use them with my utec. but reading the basic injector information thread i am not sure if they are low or high impedance. saying low does not work with the utec, is it save to assume it's high seeing they come with the powerlabs/utec kit.

What is the difference between low and high impedance? Low impedance injectors need to be electrically adapted to work properly, and usually come with the required electronic components for this.

Deatchwerks 600cc Fuel Injectors: Nissan 350Z/ Infiniti G35 VQ35de

Prices are for a flow balanced set of 6 injectors

All sizes feature the following...
100% new Denso manufactured injector
100% drop-in fitment (no connectors or adapters required)
Flow rates and set balancing in-house by DeatschWerks
Flow balanced to within 1-2% (flow report included)
High Impedance coils to match OEM ECU
Excellent spray pattern and atomization for excellent idle and tuning
Coil latency available upon request
12-month comprehensive warranty

SO they should be high impedance

Google works wonders....

Only reason I say should is because I am assuming that you have the new ones listed on the site and that they are the same ones.

High impedance

We mainly sell only application specific, drop-in-fitment fuel injectors. Which means compatible with the OEM ECU and absolutely no modifications/collars/plugs/spacers needed to fit your car. We have some universal low z injectors available, but we generally do not advertise them.

Ok so i sound like a retard right now but you always want high impedence? In what cases would you need low?

If I'm not mistaken low impedance means they use less energy to operate there for don't get as hot and last longer. Not certain though, just heard that somewhere.

Injector impedance describes the electrical resistance of the solenoid windings. These are usually grouped in two categories:

Low- varies between 1.7 to 3.0 ohms
High- varies between 10 to 16 ohms

The best way to determine impedance is to put a digital ohmmeter across the two electrical connections and see what it reads.

The primary advantage of low impedance injectors is a shorter triggering time. When large injectors are fitted to high output engines, low impedance injectors will often give a better idle quality because of this fact.

The primary advantage of high impedance injectors is the fact that less heat is generated in the drive circuit.

thanx mate, i am starting month end with a turbo installation. i just want to be dead sure. read the basic injector thread of hal and saw he stated low doesn't work with the utec and realized i never check or asked. just don't want more delays. since my supercharger removal my car is like a donkey at this altitude and i am sick of being picked on by these new 4cyl turbo's .
