Default Thanks To Everyone Who Helped

I have decided to part out my car. Consistant and overwhelming problems have haunted me since I started modifying this car 4 years ago. I chased almost all of them down except one.

This message board, particularly this forum, has come through with answers to alot of problems I have had. Special thanks to Quadcam my budy who is a resource I couldn't have done. He is a very very smart guy who has come through every time for me when I needed help.

Unfortunately the resources available to me do not allow me to overcome this crankcase pressure issue. I really have no answers for it and becuase my car is a track car it needs to be reliable on the track which it hasn't been because of this issue.

It's a shame because when the car was running right it was a monster on the track. I had the suspension pretty much dialed in. Nothing passed me this weekend and I passed a GTR easilly after follwing him aournd the track for a few minutes I stuck it to him and he had no chance of keeping up.

Let the part our begin! Look for my for sale ad in the classifieds. I have alot of good stuff that is relatively new on this car for fair prices.

Gentlemen it's been fun!

Larry, are you really giving up because of crank case pressure?
Your car is dialed in, you would be nuts to part it out, not to mention the amount of time and money/headaches it would take to pull it off!

Please take your car to a good fabrication/race shop, and have them make you a proper crankcase vent system with vac pump if needed. You arent the first one to have a race car..common...don't loose faith! You live in FL, ...there must be some of them around.

Did you do a leakdown on the motor, as well as the comp test?

If the motor is healthy, you better not part that car out.

I am really at a dead end. I don't know who to take it to. I don't even know where to begin to look. Where do I look? Who would do it?

I did a compression test tonight because the numbers the other day didn't maker sense. I found out my friend did it without the throttle plate open. I guess you have to step on the gas to open the throttle plate for the compression test to be accurate.

The numbers were....
1) 142
2) 139
3) 142
4) 148
5) 153
6) 145

I have not done a leakdown test. If I knew where to take this and get the work done I would. But at the same time I am wondering why you, Mike Bonani, or Nick Reifner don't have the same problem. It's perplexing and frustrating.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO....... I love this car man! please dont give up. As Sharif said take the car to a rece fabricator and get a custom breather system.

If not try and email RJN race team here with me in the UK. The run zeds in the GT4 in the Uk and may be able to help you out as there cars have race breathers.

the gear shifter has to be in gear with key on if the car is off or the throttle doesnt open when you press it down... but you need to leakdown the engine if you are having crankcase pressure issues. you know it could be as simple as a few holes in the valvecover... lots of honda guys just weld a couple -10 fitting on the front of their valvecovers and plumb them in and call it done. give it a leakdown, even if you still part it out you will need to know if the shortblock is good.

Larry,
stop looking for attention! unless it is a turbo problem, just address the crankcase pressure issue. other than opening up the pcv vlave, there is plenty left to try. drill ou the driver side breather vent tube. that'll quadruple the the vent area on that valve cover. also, as I said before, the pass valve cover has plenty more room to easily quadruple (or greater) the vent area there too!

you don't want to sell your car. part of high performance car tuning is fixing problems...that's part o the fun!!!!

Ok... Ok.... I'll do a leakdown and look for a race fabricator before calling it quits. Thanks for that info Charles.

A lot of the big hp TT viper guys run an electric vacuum pump. It will create a vacuum in the crankcase and pull excess blowby out.
