Default Duel Fuel Pumps Vs. One Big One

I was just wondering if anyone has experience with either type. Im currently looking for 600+ whp. I know i have to do a fuel return system and that the walbro cant support this so i have to move up to something else.

The two that im debating between is the APS Extreme Duty Fuel System or the Altered Atmosphere Return System with their Big Pump Upgrade to top it off.

Just wanna see if anyone has any experience with either of these set ups, on normal street use, track use, and such. So any input would be helpful.

Thanks

a single walbro 255 will support about 600rwhp but thats about it.

For a dual pump, CJM's setup is probably the way to go.

Ya with a nice setup, no restrictions, high quality injectors with excellent spray pattern and large enough size that fuel pressure doesn't need to be overly high... The 255 can do over 600... If 600 is the goal it might be worth trying on the single

600whp, especially on some dynos, is very easy to do with a good sized injectors, and a single walbro pump with CJM Return Fuel System. If you saif 650-750whp range...twin pump all the way.

My rule of thumb.........

You should always have more fuel pumps that you do turbos

On the superflow I use, I have never seen alot over 600whp like 605whp on a single walbro max, anything after that and fuel pressure is crazy unstable. A Bosch 044 would get you over 650whp maybe 700whp and a A1000 or SX would probably be done around the 700 or low 700whp as well in a higher pressure situation.
Hope that helps.

ya, just looking to see what others have done, as of now im considering the bosch or the one that altered atmosphere makes. Just want an efficient set up. I rather overbuild and have something overly capable of handling my requirements. I dont like pushing parts to the max then watch them fail miserably.

Any other consideration other than Bosch or the AAM fuel pump?

My first choice would be the twin in tank pump setup from CJM with the CJM stsge 2 return fuel system.

FYI those two options are the same... The aam surge can external pump setup is a Bosch... And unless you build an entirely custom setup that is the only way to go Bosch as you cannot upgrade the stock pump with anything other than a walbro because that is all it is compatable with.

Your options for pumps without building a custom fuel hanger or surgecan setup are:

Typical RFS kit of various stages with walbro upgrade
APS extreme fuel kit... Which sticks you with injectors and non adjustable pressure regs
AAM can/Bosch kit
CJM twin walbros
SP triple walbros

If the car is for hardcore road racing then a regular rfs with custom external surge tank and external pump fed by stock assembly with stock or walbro pump is in order
