Just today I saw and met up with the owner of this car after he has had it for a while breaking it in and getting used to it. I agreed to go with him today and we spent most of the day at two different locations, on two different independent dyno's, and ran his car on both a Dyno Jet (at the Dyno Shop in Santee Ca.) and a Dyno Dynamics dyno (at JBA the mustang place in San Diego Ca).

The numbers on both types of dyno's from two different places were nice and solid and somewhat consistent with each other and pretty much right on what I thought and assumed they would be on the 91 octane fuel the customer had in his tank.

Once again, the customer came to me (us) and wanted a nice daily driven pump gas car that could make about, and up to 500whp.

The first power test was done at the Dyno Shop on their Dyno Jet at just under 15 psi of boost. The first pull was done in 4th gear by mistake and even though the car was strapped down very well the tires spun and it bucked a little twords the end of the run, that's why the graph looks a little choppy up top.
The second run was done with the car the same, yet I sat on the rear hatch, we tried to strap it down tighter, and we ran it in the correct 1 to1 ratio (5th gear) hoping for better traction. The car still pretty much did the same thing and spun the tires and bucked twords the end of the run .
It did however make nice power with a little lower torque number than expected, but the operator of the dyno said that was to be expected from the tire spin. This is what we ended up with.....
fourth gear @ 14.8psi 561.26whp and 439.8tq
fifth gear @ 14.8psi 555.27whp and 447.95tq in 83 degree whether on pump gas (91 octane verified)

With time being of the essence as we had an appointment at a different location for another power pull on a different dyno... we turned the boost down to 13 psi in hopes of getting more traction and also trying to bring our numbers down closer to the 500whp goal we were trying to set the car at for the customer. As expected, we did get a lot better traction and the car made a nice solid 522.21whp 505.13tq @ 12.9 psi
Here is that graph......




....Then we unstrapped the car and were off to our appointment at JBA where we were already a little late for our appointment for the power pull on their Dyno Dynamics. The car was untouched from the 12.9 psi run on the previous dyno and after strapping the car down good, they made a pull. It made 507whp and 530tq @ 12.9psi.

To clear up any MORE confusion, AGAIN... The Scat rods we use are in fact the same ones they now offer to any of their customers or distributors. We contacted them a while ago about making rods for us to the specs we suggested and that is what they did. They did not make a VQ connecting rod before we contacted them to make them for us with our specs. There is nothing too crazy about them, we just wanted a very true and slightly lighter rod that was currently available. Now that the rods have been made and we have been using them with great success Scat is and have been offering them as part of their catalog.

As for the fuel system. Like previously listed in the first post.... The fuel system consists of a single Walbro 255 fuel pump, DW 500cc injectors, and a JWT FMU with the voltage increas.

 

He tries to pretend that he does not know what we are asking for.....He could post a million 500whp dynos.....I still want to see the 750-800 whp on 700bb dyno run.
