Even though I'm not a member of the Recon team, I find the path krncoolwater chose quite insulting.

Without divulging too much of what is in the PM's, I find it disheartening to the extent that XKR helped this cat and now knowing his actions, to go back and reread these PM's where this douche is practically begging Mike to help him financially if something happens.

Sorry Mike, if the that last sentence revealed too much.......but that really bothered me.

 

WOW.....I am taking as much of an azz whipping in PM as this guy is taking in this thread. I have people that I have never seen on here before getting angry at me.

Let me just say....I am as much at fault for not telling this person in advance that the Recon Unit does not work for free...I should have told him that we would help him out....but we own the story. Let this be a lesson to me and other that contacts me and the Recon Unit in the future.


Adman, 2005DaytonaZ and others are correct......I am sure scott made that same promise that he made to Pete to shut him up....How can we blame him? This guy gets a warranty and MrS/vrt/ra gets a cover up.

But look at it this way......we now see how he operates.....Come on now.....A build motor that makes 350whp? That alone is a warranty. I now know what scott tells his suc...I mean "customers" why they dont talk. We always wonder why no one ever complains.......he makes crazy promises they cant refuse and a threat if they speak..he will void the so call warranty.


I have the Invoice...and Sharif has spoken on parts of it. Its so easy to tell what this guy is doing its crazy how he traps people.

Wow, this korn hole guy just set up the whole recon unit. I wouldn't be to surprised if scott had something to do with the cover up in the end. Now he's laughing. There has to be a way to show scotts true colors and mickey mouse builds. So to recap ra had his car for 6 months the owner begs for help and money. He gets the help. Then rat a** gives him 350 rwhp with a built motor and a so called warranty. Then the owner clams up. I hope this guys motor blows the f*ck up and scott gives it to him up his a** when he tries to get it covered. That would pure justice!

Mike/XKR has gone above and beyond in exposing Scott for who and what he is. Regardless of this turn of events, this community owes you a debt. It is appreciated Mike. No worries.

 

We have the invoice.....scott knows that know....my guess is MrS made an offer he could not refuse....

Just so there is a full disclaimer on this post, I am a Forged Performance customer and my built motor has over 35,000 miles on it and it just dyno'd at ZdayZ at 511.9whp. The previous sentence is what this "hobby" is all about. Good shops and great people working together to build cars that last. This forum builds realtionships, partnerships and friendships.

i have a entry level Turbonetics T60-1 ST and an auto. didnt want to stress the trans (did alot of research on here). as this is my daily driver. we all know that the more you push the turbo/engine/trans...the less reliable it becomes. knowing that i told scott i would be happy w/ 400 whp/wtq. i didnt realize how restrictive my exhaust would be thus 345whp 368wtq.

in the near future i will get a custom exhaust by Secret Service. Jtune from Conroe, TX inspected my car and said, everything looks good from what he can see. if its good for him, its good for me but thanks for asking! (no sarcasm)

like all FI enthusiasts i enjoying having a boosted car and something a lilttle different. just dont like the part about spending mojo amounts of $$$$ and having **** breaking from time to time. but i guess its true, you have to pay to play!

this is my dyno on a DynoDynamics after installation of a full Vortech kit... this is with factory exhaust and absolutely no modifications except for a plenum spacer... i made the same power in 2006 on a stock block with a bolt-on CARB legal kit and factory exhaust as you did on a built motor with a ST...
