At home GTM install..
For those who have questioned if a twin turbo install is to much to do on your back, read on. I called GTM about their turn key turbo kit and talked several times with Sam about what I wanted and what I dadn't want. I ended up with the base turbos and upgraded to the external gates with the reroute kit. Sam assured me it could be done by the average car guy, so I took his word and sent the money. A week later I had 2 big boxes delivered to the house, took a deep breath and broke out the tool. This was all done in a standard 2 car garage with basic hand tools by me alone. I am not a mechanic by any means, just have general automitive knoledge. A few jack stands and I was off and running. The instructions should be titled turbos for dummies because they were full of picture and I mean full color pics clearly labled and easy to follow. It took 3.5 full days working but the end result was unbelievable. There was a few issues with the tune but it was a software issue not a tune issue. The guys at uprev talked me through the fix on the phone so a big thanks to them. I would post pics but the pics on Gtm's site are so much better. I will answer any questions anyone has. Thanks to Sam for all the help and late night calls.
Congrats on the install and new found power. Now on to serious business pics or ban!!! SOP on my350z. Hurry before the wolves come out (cowers behind screen looking for the FI wolves)...lol.
I will get a few pics but like I said GTM has so many detailed pics of the kit I doubt I could do any better. Next day I have off I will take a Bunch of shots. To answer the above question, yes there is great satifaction in doing a install like this on your own.

Kudos to GTM - attention to details, like a well written install guide, goes a long way to building a solid reputation for their kits.

Pics from a personal install is not the same as the pics on the GTM website. As a forum member I see more appreciation in your pictures because you did it yourself. Additionally, gives inspiration to others that may try to attempt this as a DIY job. PICS PLEASE!!!!

any tips for anyone else doing this at home? I know you said you had basic hand tools, but is there anything you found that you needed that the average person may not have? Have you done any other TT kits on Z's to compare the install to?
Waste gates make right at 7.5 psi, or at least they did on mine. I am using the osiris software for tuning, and I did have to get a set of crows feet wrenches from autozone but that was under 20 bucks. One of the most trivial things was swapping the fuel pump sock. There is a little clip that needs to be reused and I fought with it for about 20 min. The best advise I can give is don't be in a hurry. If you need the car done soon things will surely go wrong. I worked on it till I got tired and shut it down for the day and started fresh the next. This is my first turbo kit on a z but have messed with other tubo kits in the past.
Glad to hear everything went well, I am sure you are going to be very happy with your car now. Boost is addicting
