That sounds like plenty for pump gas. Congrats Mike. Some Q16 and let her rip tomorrow. Good luck!

Sorry if I missed something or if I sound stupid.
Not sure where the 598whp came from. The first dyno I posted was 529whp@11psi. Tuning on pump crap gas past 600whp on our Dyno Dynamics dyno is pretty aggressive.

I had hoped to have moved onto C16 tuning before Mike arrived, but I had 4 new employees to process this week, and was doing payroll until 9pm tonight!

I bought myself some time, by taking Mike to Sushi/Habachi joint.

the 598 came from me.... I was just trying to write down the numbers that I saw today... The last was over 600 whp tonight.... I was trying to remember all of them while videoi taping.

The 529 @ 11 was the very first one you posted few days back.

I guess its always risky to try to push pump gas tunes. How much further into the 600s do you think you'll venture?

350/per turbo should be well within pump gas Is c16 more than VP110?

regardless, i'm sure you guys have a long day ahead tomorrow.

we all need a G40 to set metrics for the rest of us G35ers

vp 110 motor octane is only 107
c16 motor octane is 117
HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Knock is all about heat and with that engine making 600 whp, I don't care how cool that air was going in, cylinder temps have got to be hot to be making that kind of power. All motors are different though and there is the extra displacement to account for. C16 is 116 octane leaded. Q16 is 116 and is oxygenated, good for another 5% whp right off. On pump, I'd say he's near if not at the limit. This is 600 on Sharif's DD don't forget. On pure meth, I think he'd make 650-700. On W/M, I think he could go for 800.

I personally think he should just leave it at 600 till after ZdayZ.

Thanks for the fuel info! I was just being lazy to search

and Rcdash, ya for fairness at the airstrip sake, I think they should stop at 600 also

After more seacrhing, the highest straight pump dyno for a VQ I could find was ~640DD (720 on a DJ). I had never really realized that was about the cap. Again 720 is alot of HP!

although dated, its nice to see that by adding some meth, Sharif rung another 120hp (at 18.5 psi) out of Joe's car for 643 final(https://my350z.com/forum/shop-builds...meth-fcon.html).

So I hope they try that. Then we can really know what size pump and nozzles one needs for that kinda hp

I want to first thank you all for all the support and kind words..this makes it all worth while.

Heading over to Fp around 12

when Sharif has it dialed in ... I will post pix of dyno screen instead of posting numbers......the car is very loud and not fun to stand next to..... The open dumps will be changed.

We are doing C16 after we finish up the 93 today.

I sent the videos to Jay and Danny/greengoblin.....I hope they will post it

Don't forget, at 4.0L Mike has an additional 14.2% of displacement over a 3.5L motor. I believe he can get north of 750 whp on a DJ using meth injection.

Feeling so let down, here in Australia. Its almost midnight Saturday night....

Jokes.

Been following this build for awhile now, mainly based on the search for aerodynamics, but now the wait for final numbers has me hooked. I could ramble on about the lack of VQ tuners down here and how much I wish I was over there... But I wont.

GL with it all!

that 640 straight pump was a 4.2l with twin 67mm turbos
way bigger than what XKR has
