Default Boost problems again!

Before I was having problems with the EVC 6 NOT holding boost. It would jump up to 11.6psi when it was only set at 9.5psi. I found the culprit to pretty much be cold weather. It just didn't respond well. Well it wasn't cold at all here to day so I took her out for a trip to Wilmington and for some reason the car will only but UP to 9.1psi now with it being set at anything higher. I tried to run it at 10.5psi but 9.1 is all I could get. I then turned it off to run off the wg springs which are 8.5psi and guess what, 9.1psi. Anybody got any ideas?

What is your turbo kit? Do you have a wastegate relocation kit?

FYI, boost creep is a known issue with some kits, such as the Greddy TT. If you do not have a wastegate relocation kit, that may be the answer to your problem. I have an EVC 6 with an SGP wastegate relocation kit on a Greddy TT, and the boost is very steady.

I had the same problems when I had an EVC 6. I found out that my tuner had the controller set for internal wastegates rather than external like I had. HKS said that was the reason I got boost creep since it changes the response curve or something like that.

I'm running the Greddy kit with SVRT relocation's. BC is set for external for sure. "Popet, I think the bc says, not swing.

You are correct. They call it popet for external and swing for internal. Mine was on swing which was giving me some bad boost creep.

I'm gonna try resetting the BC and see if that fixes it. If not then I'm getting rid of this fuking thing. $500 for it and I've had nothing but problems with it.

its hard to get right like everyone said but once you do it will work perfect.

enter these value and it should work

-standard boost 8.5(do a 4th gear pull to make sure u hit that with bc off)
-target-10.5
-intial offset-100

then once this is done do a pull see where your at.

most likely you will underboost. now hit the lower silver buttom and set the off set (A/B)
for the 9lbs setting do offset at 90
for the 10.5 do comp at 120

See where your at with that.

IF you are still underboosting go back and reset unit, and up the intial offset to 110, overboosting do 90 and tweak from there, although i doubt you will need to do much tweaking. i had issue to and it took me like an hour to get it right, i was entering some value f up

When I first got everything installed it work great for about 4-5 months. This will be the 4th time I've had to reset it in 3 months, probably 2k miles of driving tops!

worth a shot swapping it, I know superchargedg had a bad unit right out of the box. I also heard that some units selonoids sometime prematurely die.
