well considering even real track time isnt real mph....what really is accurate...we only have the track to use as a baseline. The last 60ft has increase of mph that can be almost 10mph on a highly boosted car...so who has the facts...

my recommendation is getting video next to the new M3, Z4M, E55AMG you run at the track! that way you know youre at least as fast or faster to 60 or 1/4 depending...

still a fun app but WE ALL KNOW the trap mph was off...but 114 seems to be in the range of the track times with a simliar vehicle, hp, and weight.

Pontiac G8 FTL....thank God didnt buy one.... maybe boosted they will be fun....

Be that as it may, I'd like to know what other people's experience are with it. I wouldn't go as far as to say the thing is "garbage". But of course it isn't the holy grail of accuracy either. The 0-60 numbers do seem to be in range for my power output and weather conditions, good launch etc.

Anyway.. not trying to prove anything here. Bashing not necessary.
I wasnt bashing you, just letting you know in case you hadnt read they are the most innacurate of the timers...

I had an old Beltimer that I used to clock times in comparison to a local 1/4 track. Did 4 runs, the 60ft, and 1/8 and 1/4 ET were within .05! Very impressive, but as mentioned the speed is terminal, not trap, so it did read high. If I could find it I'd take it to the track again and compare now for $Hits and giggles...also I have read that wheelspin will throw the trap way off and the times as well. Thinking about it now, I didnt really spin at the track on slicks when testing, Im sure had I run on street tires the times would have been way off. Fun to play with, but man do some people swear by these things.

Track is real mph.

No car on this website can accelerate 10mph in the last 60ft Corey lol. In the 2nd 660 feet of the 1320 most FI cars are accelerating around 30mph, you are misinformed my friend.

757 ran 11.0 at 150 mph and the metro came in a slow second at 24.7 at 49mph

nope, no cars here....

but...

when you are highly boosted you are running 10.50 or better...thus the last sixty foot can be over 10mph, but I was just guestimating....

this is my highboost or better reference that I was speaking of....

when youre cracking into the 9...thats high boost..35-55 psi!

I bought the dynolicious app for my iphone last year and this was on an unused side street, 08's base 6mt everything stock, no revving before "launch" and was 100% for poops and farts.

Sure, I'd like to get to a track some day, but like most of these sort of apps, they are just fun.

If anybody has played with the HKS Turbo Timer II to monitor 0-60 and 1/4 mi. times, please post here and let us know how accurate it seems to work.

I have one, but have not yet had a chance to play with it.

Nice pics and all but wrong again.

At 40mph you are moving 60ft per second. A mid 9 second car is moving well over 130mph, thus making it impossible to accelerate 10mph in 60 feet at the end of the 1/4 mile. The difference between trap and terminal velocity is less than 2mph easy. Your thinking is wayyyyy off.

For fun, 130mph is covering 190.67 feet per second at a time.

Didn't feel like starting my own thread on this, so I will just add to the one that's already here. Downloaded this app to try out on my 3GS. Did 2 test runs tonight on a pretty flat road at about 70 degrees outside. Car is an 04 Touring with popcharger, 5/16" ISO spacer & HKS hi power. Weighed down by 19" wheels

Here are the results I got. Seem decently legit compared to some old time slips I had from my previous Z that ran 13.7s all day.

First run.

Second run.
