You're going to have to remove the blower from the bracket.

You won't be able to get the pulley off because the blower is in the way.

Edit:

I take that statement back ... if you take off the cog pulley assembly you can get it off, you'll need a strap wrench to hold the cog still while you unbolt the pulley. Then unscrew the four hex bolts holding on the cog and it should all come apart.

Didn't know that! Will I have the same problem taking out my 3.12 and putting in my 2.87?

Not sure about the 3.12 ... but the 3.33 will certainly not just come right off. Either the blower has to move or the cog assembly on the back has to come off.

I installed my kit with the 3.33, then immediatley went to the 2.87 before I finshed up the installation and I do recall being able to do it without removing the blower.

You didn't read what I said ...

You need to remove the main shaft bolt that goes through both pulleys.
Then ...
Remove the four hex bolts holding the cog pulley assembly on and it should all come off.

You should remove the 4 bolts holding the blower to the bracket . But i was always able just to losen the top 3 bolts and pry over the blower to get it off . The smaller pulley goes on with out prying on it .

Your thinking bout turbos? Zweeeet! Honestly bro, eveyrone write this down. I had more fun when my Z had the Vortech as apposed to the Greddy TT kit. Although when Im out looking for action, Im looking for bikes not cars anymore. I use to beat my car up everywhere I went with the Vortech kit. More usable power. Now the Z is too loud, too fast and too obnoxious to drive safely from light to light. Your going to love the power Boog, but your going to miss your blower.

just changed pulley last weekend
went from 3.33 to 3.12
Found it Easiest to pull plate off and unbolt the vortech from the plate (loosened)

Just seemed too much of a pita to try and loosen it with the plate mounted

Whole job took about 30min

When I took off the blower , I was at around 490whp and 19psi . It was way to loud and I didnt like driving it much...lol

With a AT5 , I think when I go turbo , Im going to keep it toned down a bit and just have a drivable car
