Its actually not that bad for me. I bought the flux capacitor so it keeps the car really safe and driveable. Without one you are just asking for trouble. Just ask anyone who is FI'ed it is absolutely necessary.

nice, does it give you 1.21 JiggaWatts?? i'm sure there's a mod to make it give 1.5JW

i'm guessing the answer is a resounding yes, but with the stipulation that the stability depends on the install, tuning, other mods, parts, driving habits, psi boost, etc etc.

my main point was can it be a daily drive-and-forget kinda thing, with just 3-4k miles oil change and ~2 year "tune up" upkeep? or would it be take it to the shop every month, be ready to drive your second car on regular basis, etc?

You answered your own question basically with this quote.

If I am driving in town, I remove the turbo's and when I am on the freeway, I put them back. I save gas that way

y go through all that hassle when you can just push the "TURBO OFF" button that's mounted on the steering wheel

Only a few kits have the off button. Mine is wired into the ignition so the turbos are spinning max boost whenever the car is running.

Something I've done to increase the reliability of my car is re-route all my AC vents into the engine bay and into the turbo inlet and turn the AC on full blast. Lower IAC temps means less detonation I are teh smart

Yes, No.

(sorry Jay had to )

To the OP, you do realize that the car has the capacity to travel slowly, even after FI? Just because you can pass semi-tractor trailer trucks in the span of an on ramp, on the right hand side, with ease, when some turd is blocking the passing lane, should not deter you from driving slowly when you wish to.

+1 on that. Someone get Doug off the Prozac already. Where is Alberto when you need him, he was beginning to fill some of the Doug void and offerred some great sig-worthy material as well.

To the OP..... Welcome to F/I .... if you stay long enough you will eventually love it here.
