My goal maybe be modest compared to some of you. I just want to get about 400 to 430hp to the crank. I get a sense many of you plan on going for big hp when you get a TT.

So here is the question.....

How much hp are you planning on making your TT? What do you plan to do to it to get that hp and how much are you you willing to pay for it to be that way?

I want to be around 700 to the crank. You won't see me doing anything for at least a year to two years to the motor. I want to make sure I have as many options as possible for building the motor on the market. I will be finishing my suspension, etc. though. And I will never have a bodykit.

Mr. Potato Head:

I noticed you have the Nismo sways like myself and Eibachs. I am also in the shopping for suspension stage, considering NISMO S, JIC, and Teins. Have you decided which suspension you are getting yet?

Well its more of a dream, but my plan is to have around 500 hp at the wheels. I think thats a good goal as its not to high, and the car will still be driveable (my truck dyno'd at 550 to the wheels, and i drove it everyday). Its going to take me some time, as im going to wait and see what other's come up with first. But i figure with in a couple years i should be at a nice 500 to the ground. I hope.

Default heh

My car is a dedicated project.
I am going to push the envelope...and try to break the 1k horsepower mark on a built motor/drivetrain.

The motor will be out of my car by the middle of October.

=)

Will it be driveable? Maybe 1/4 mile at a time =)

How am I going to get all of that power to the ground? Hell if I know....

roflmao!!!

Y'know... cheston... ya gotta have the DeLorean-style stainless steel finish to reduce friction, too.... kind of like making the body match the doorhandles instead of the other way around...

It is interesting to see how attitudes about to go NA, SC, or TT are changing quickly. I think a lot of people including me were leaning toward the ATI SC due to great hp at a lower price than a TT. Now that the 2 problems occured with that SC, a good percentage of people are thinking na might be the way to go. Mossy's 282 na dyno pull added to that. Some are opting to go TT now instead of SC.

As for me, I am forcing myself to keep an open mind on all 3 options. I promised myself I would give it a good amount of time and see how they perform and how reliable they are. I was expecting some problems to occur with new FI products. Now lets see how those companies deal with those problems.

I would still love to go SC with the ATI but ATI has got to get this thing worked out where we are not in fear of running too lean and blowing our motors. I for one want to see them (ATI) get involved. I want to know that the company I buy my mod from is not going to abandon me when/if i have a problem. Maybe they are working the problem out? The guy with the last problem seems to opt to work only with the tuner and not get ATI involved. It seems ATI would want to knowing they read this website thus they must know there is a problem. ATI, are you worried about losing us as customers????

My 2nd option would be a TT. It cost more and for me, I do not think I want to push my hp on a TT beyond a bolt on kit due to cost and not needing over 425hp at crank. So if ATI can become reliable, support there customers well when a problem occurs, and keep up above 425hp at crank, I will most likely go that route.

Last, NA: If reliability of SC is still in question 6 months from now, TT have problems or cost too much, I will end up going NA and hope to get over 300hp by doing what Mossy has done and adding a chip and possibly a plenuim.

i'll always choose TT over a blower, but thats because i only have experience with turbos.

I would want 370-400 at the wheels. Not saying I want turbos, but if I did those numbers would be what I would want. Oh yeah, I would want to keep the boost low (8 PSI max) and run without a FMU. Has to be ECU controlled! Can it be done? I bet it can be.
