Default Kinetix Racing V+ Plenum Help

Hope you guys can help me. I just installed a Kinetix racing plenum on my 05 Z non-revup. I also have the turbonetics kit, the stock plenum has a little nipple to connect a vacuum hose to for a boost gauge. The problem is that the kinetix plenum does not have that little nipple. Where else can I hook up the vacuum hose?? Hope the pics will get my point across.
Please helllpp... Any help will be appreciated.

Is that the only choice I have? Would I be able to tap into something else ?

Drill the plenum, tap a vacuum adapter into it and call it a day.

See the hose right below your thumb in the second picture? Cut it and put a T adapter in it. I have my car setup just like this to control the bypass valve for my Vortech, it works fine.

Edit to clarify so you don't cut the wrong hose: The vacuum line that runs from the bottom of the plenum to the crank case vent; in your picture the hose isn't attached so all you see is the metal fitting.

Here you go:

See the hose running perpendicularly to and underneath the 'factory plenum nipple'? Carefully cut that sucker in the middle. Don't be too careless as it its a special formed hose and if you mess it up too bad you'll have to get a new one from Nissan. I'm using the factory nipple on my car for the MAP sensor on my Haltech EMS.

Now get a hose tee thats 1/2" with a 1/4" stem. Autozone/mart/center/whathaveyou will have these, look in the quick-fix section that they all have. Be sure to get one before you start cutting hoses. It should look something like this:

Ignore the mess, I literally pulled the car out of storage an hour ago.

See how nice and easy it is with the smaller size stem? Doing it this way means you don't have to monkey around with adapters and whatnot. Connect it up like so, and you have a second vacuum source off the plenum for around a buck.

Thanks for the pics, the only problem Is I have a catch can connected to that hose and there is alot of oil in the catch can, meaning that there is alot of oil going through that hose. Would I still be able to do it?

Under the plenum I have a 5/16" motordyne copper iso-thermal plenum spacer. Under that I believe is the stock one? Dont know if that answers your question.

OMG thats the problem!! Why or how would u throw a spacer under that!! There is no way in hell that **** is sealed!! You definately have a vacuum leak at the spacer somewhere.. Turn the car on and listen/ spray something to see if you can see where....

Kinetix V+ is meant to run with no spacer.. Who gave you that idea(kinetix+spacer= powa)??

BTW I dont recommend the Kinetix V+ for FI.. The gasket blows out fast.. And causes loss of power and vacuum leaks.. Id recommend it for NA..

Dang, that blows! I dont think there were any leaks from listening under the hood...
I emailed z1 motorsports prior to buying the plenum telling him the list of mods I had and he didnt really have any objection...The kinetix plenum didnt come with a gasket.
So should I remove the plenum then? Or the motordyne spacer? Could someone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks to everyone whos helped so far.

I might just get rid of it then if that's what the majority says. ****in sucks that I paid 300 bucks for this POS. And jay Z ur right, I tightened one of the bolts down a little too much which caused the hole around the screw to get a hairline crack. It's shown in one of the pics. If anyone wants this thing pm me...

I was going to rag on you for having such a dirty engine bay, but it seems as if you have already had a helping of fail today so I will just leave it alone.

BTW, the stock plenum and the spacer should make more than enough power. If its good enough for Alberto, it should be good enough for your setup. Although can understand if you want to change it for dress up reasons.

Way to help out Jay!!
