i am just curios. how necessary is the turbo water lines. does this bring turbo temp significantly down? i know it helps with switching off but doesn't it increase or stress water temp.

turbo water lines only comes for the ball bearing turbos.

it will never stress or increase the water temps.

If your kit has them, you should use them for sure. It will add life to the turbos.

First turbo water lines can be found on ball bearing or journal bearing turbos. If the turbo has provisions for coolant, then it is designed to use coolant to help cool it. As far as adding stress to the coolant system, i would be more worried about the added heat from doubling the HP that the engine was designed for than a little bit of heat from the turbo.

it wont effect water temps if u hook them up.. remember it all gets cycled back to ur radiator and cooled down again. Have you ever taken a scorching piece of metal and submerged it in water? If u have you would have noticed that the water temperature rises slightly but nothing alarming.

If u are unsure about the waterlines and are installing the kit yourself i'd advise that you take it to a shop and have it professionally installed.
