built head problem..... pics and vid inside.
I like your hours policy:
that is the sort of no ******** shop attitude I like to see! I can see your customers are cool with waiting around for you:

and your Z's front splitter just screams 'no ********' because, you know, you are running so many support rods to it... I count like.. 6? are there hidden ones I can't see? that would be even more no ******** and REVENGECY:

rock on man! I am digging it... digging it revenge style.
and your INTAKE MANIFOLD! you guys are so ahead of the curve you are running a KINETIX... no one is even running them on the Z right now!

that is SICK and ******** FREE! so cool... and shiney... and tubular and revenge-cy. I can tell you know what is up in the Z/G world because you are running that NO ******** plenum.

Lets see here the people are standing in the shade at the back of the building during a photo shoot.
No it not a VQ its a B16 and yes it has no shrouding now. When you remove the shrouding it helps improve combustion chamber flow. If it sux so bad in the short run lets what you got!!!
I am not saying it is a bad head design.......it could be better though. This head is designed for a compromise of power, efficiency and emissions. an as-cast "race head" would be designed for all out power and not worry about fuel consumption or emissions. With the current design of the intake ports, the port doesn't take full advantage of the available valve size as it is. getting back to the original point, going bigger with the valve on the DE head is not the best place to spend money on these heads. especially when you consider that you really should also change the valve seats to larger seats if you are going to go with bigger valves. the stock seats are pretty much maxed out with the stock valve sizes as is.
update. i took the head by my friends shop. he does exotic and mostly ferrari engine building and repair. he inspected the cams, valves, valve springs, head work, etc. cams and cam journals look good, basically needs a complete new set of valves. i left it with him and hes going to disassemble the heads today or tomorrow. he'll see what i need from there. so far, new set of valves and probably new seats. apparently he gets some kind of deal with ferrera on buying valves directly from them. we'll see what kind of deal that is.
they seller sent me a $600 refund.
this is the same shop that im doing my block at. i finished micro polishing my crank. just need to send it to get balanced, then measure out which main and rod bearings im going to use.

I already sent this to you but I figured others might want to know what should be done in this type of situation.I would reccomend disassembling the head, cleaning it,cutting the valve seats, setting the valve stem heights if neccessary(will be neccessary to put new valves in) and installing new guides and seals and surfacing it.
i was rooting for you(a little bit anyways)till that photo emerged
