Bob: You asked me what I meant when I said that this was a "done deal". Allow me to explain.

Frankly, I don't think he'll get enough subscriptions to cover the cost
Agree

and won't get the SC
Disagree

Regardless, the magazine will have more subscriptions than they would have before this idea.
NOW, your starting to see the light!

That said, please don't take it in a bad way. That is exactly what guys who try to sell magazines do. You are doing it well. As you said....or SOMEBODY said, I lost track of who exactly, it is a WIN/WIN situation. We get an expanded magazine, Chris gets his boost and you sell more mags. One big happy family. Let's all hold hands and sing "*** Bah Yah"

Hey old-guy -- A tote board is a very good idea and I believe someone may have mentioned that earlier. When I hire a new webmaster, that will be one of our first jobs.

Thanks Pat, you're a good friend.

Bob,

I am not sure, but is the Tote board something that can be posted on the forums?

I don't know, let's ask.

Mike, is posting a Tote Board on my350z.com and the other 350Z Forums doable?

Exclamation Online subscriptions

Hey Everyone,

This is just a quick note. I got an e-mail from Bob a little while ago and he mentioned that there have been several online subscriptions from people who accidentally forgot to mention the "Supercharger Challenge". If you have subscribed recently (or anytime since January 1st of this year) please e-mail Bob at publisher@sportzmagazine.com and let him know that you want your subscription to count toward the "Supercharger Challenge". If you have not yet subscribed and choose to do so online, please note the "Supercharger Challenge" when you fill out the form. Your subscription will help to make Sport Z Magazine even better by adding more pages with 350Z info and pictures. Maybe even double it's current size! Thanks for your support everyone!!!

Exclamation Here is the number I need to reach to win

Here is the information that you all have been waiting for. I just got an e-mail from Bob at Sport Z with the total $ amount that I need to reach in order to win the Supercharger Challenge. It's no small amount, but I know that with the help of everyone here, it can be done! As soon as I get the current total I will be posting it on MY WEBSITE so that you can check on the progress of the Supercharger Challenge!

-Chrismcagle

Chris, here we go...

Calculations to make the SUPERCHARGER CHALLENGE work for you and Sport Z Magazine include additional expenses per year in the following categories:

Writers

Editorial

Graphics

Distribution

Pre-Press

Advanced color correction (before pre-press)

Printing

Mailing

There will most likely be additional hardware/software requirements, but those figures were not factored in.

The dollar amount we need to make this happen is $64,400 for the new supercharger or twin turbo or anything you choose of equal value. The $64,400 includes the approximate charge for an installed supercharger or twinturbo ($8,000.00 to $10,000.00)

SAMPLES OF WAYS TO REACH YOUR GOAL:

2 YEAR SUBSCRIPTIONS:

2,582 new or extended 2-year subscriptions at $24.95

OR...

2,000 new or extended 2 year subscriptions at $24.95 PLUS $14,500 in Sport Z Enthusiast Back Issue Packages.

1 YEAR SUBSCRIPTIONS:

3,588 new or extended 1-year subscriptions at $17.95

OR...

2,500 new or extended subscriptions at $17.95 PLUS $19,525 in Sport Z Enthusiast Back Issue Packages.

JANUARY 1, 2003:

The one-year and two-year subscriptions that go back to an order date of January 1, 2003 will be added to the SUPERCHARGER CHALLENGE folder if the 350Z Board subscribers advise Robert Bell by email (publisher@sportzmagazine.com). I have not assigned a time limit to the SUPERCHARGER CHALLENGE, but we may consider one year as the goal.

Chris, I would suggest that you post this on all the 350 Z web sites and advise all participants that the Tote Board will be updated weekly on your web page.

If you have anything else to add, please let me know by return email or by phone at 303.934.8000.

Good Luck,
Bob

If you are able to get 3/4 of the subscriptions needed, I'll subscribe just because of your impressive ability to meet the challenge.

Bob

I believe scafremon suggested that "very good idea" first on page 4.

Maybe you missed it during your sentence by sentence rebuttal.

Maybe you can praise scafremon for the idea.

Buzzardmountain, I believe I already did, but thank you for reminding me to do so formerly. Scafremon, thanks for your good idea and thank you buzzarmountain for your keen eye and attention to detail.

BTW, have you supported Chris yet?

Victor,

It's like a visual representation of a goal. Like those "thermometer" type charts that you see for Jerry's kids' telethons and stuff where the more money they bring in, the higher the "mercury" rises on the graph. I completely updated MY WEBSITE and made a Tote Board that is much more fitting to this Challenge. I haven't yet gotten the current $ amount that I have brought in from Bob, but he is working on getting it to me asap. As I get the new totals (2 or maybe 3 times a week) I will update the Tote Board to reflect it. Let me know what you think.

Well, it's a Flash Animation so I am not sure if I can put it in a posting here. Anyone can get to it from the link in my signiture. If they have signitures turned off, they can see it HERE.
