I will be a gametime decision, all the vendors are coming through, but the tune may hold me back . The last thing I need to do is rush and experience BOOM again. Although I really want to see how my car will stack up against some of my friends in the F/I section.

Mike/Sharif, predictions on who gets the best of it with a heads up run between you two?

Have we determined who has the highest HP in the group? I'm assuming its Mike.

Raj - how much HP advantage do you think a 6mt would need to hang with your slick shifting 5at?

 

Cass, it'll be great to see you there, but your car's health comes first.

Ha ha - how much more hp to go up against a 5AT? If you drive like a mad man, absolutely none. If fact we have higher drivetrain losses to contend with.

I'll tell you the thing I remember the most fondly about last year is the sheer excitement and having fun, win or lose.

I'm thinking we should open this up to non FI cars if we can't get enough cars out there from this forum!

There are always good pairings. You see who beats who and who you want to run next. You can give a few car lead to the non FI, yada, yada...

I say we give FI cars till the end of this week to sign up and then we let the gates open to any car - say up to the maximum of what - 20? It's the people that make this event fun, probably more so than the cars! It'd be a waste not to share the experience with more folks.

You guys know we all took rides in each other's cars. I'm looking forward to a spin in that GTR! Don't miss this event!

 

Nope....as promised....the day after Zdayz, the car will be at FP to pull the turbo's...inspect and ship. It was very nice of you to let me use it for this event....Sharif and Raj also thanks you....because if you had said no...you want the turbo's now....Sharif/FP would have been busting their azzes to finish up my new setup for the even and Raj would have had to face the Super Beast this year instead of next

 

I ran against a STOCK GTR for a little less than a mile starting from 50 mph ( one of the Salesmen at one of the dealers here called me out) He never saw it coming..He wanted to race from a dig...but for one thing...I am the WORST at drag racing...2) I would not hook up....FP will be installing a Traction Control for me....So then I will race on his terms....its only fair.


If this runway was a little longer...My G will wiin for sure. On this track with C16 and rolling in 3RD Sharif will have little advantage with traction and paddle shifters....and I am over 200whp more.....So I will say the G....even though I know his GTR is not stock.


I have nothing againt Sharif/FP......My problem is with Raj and thats who will feel the power of the BEAST !!!!! And next year wihen my car is upgraded AGAIN .....Raj will be the first person in history to get their azz handed to them with one car 2 different platforms

 

lol. gtr, g, z, if it has a clutch, it's not an issue... No other 5ATs? No worries. The airport owner doesn't want us burning out but I want to try to take that GTR from a dig. If I have to, I'll use my 50 shot to launch and 200 shot to finish. Hurry up and get those NOS tanks loaded Sharif!

 

Now I know you are crazy You want to race against a car that is known for its traction and you think NOS will help you from a dig... Raj..raj...raj

 

I like a challenge. Might be the only one if no other 5ATs come out. . Besides I have faith and a few tricks up my sleeve. We'll see.

Believe me, I understand about not lifting the gas pedal.Just never heard it called "flat shifting"! (probably why I have "extra" transmissions)
Not trying to start anything (seems the "auto" guys already did) but are the automatics bringing any "money"!

Spread the word that this event is no longer FI only! This is a GREAT opportunity to get a taste of FI if you're thinking about it...

 

All paid drivers are welcome to take my GT-R down the strip and give it a good thrashing.....how is that for an incentive to sign up!!! Just please keep it out of the bushes.
