IMO you can have a ton of fun with a good 400whp 350Z. Even that can get you in trouble in a hurry if you don't have the experience.

When I started my build everyone was telling me not to build it myself and to just get a TT kit and call it a day. I built the kit for $2600 (EMS not included) and the setup is capable of making over 450whp easy (turbo flow 61 lbs/min 781cfm). I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

I agree. I also agree that boost is like crack but i think if you're a reasonable person you can live with 400+rwhp on a stock block. And from what I've seen with some of the built motor guys on here it seems like almost a better option to just run 400 on a stock block and be ready to throw a new one in.

You need a bigger turbo, injector, headers, FMIC and a better EMS. Stock piping should be able to handle it and of course a built motor (preferably 3.8L motor). The list I mentioned are the stuff CMyTailsBlink had on his old setup.

because after a while you get used to the power and you want more.. my car feels slow to me.. only time i realize its still has pull is if i run someone on the highway.. then i realize nothing is wrong with the car

because after a while you get used to the power and you want more.. my car feels slow to me.. only time i realize its still has pull is if i run someone on the highway.. then i realize nothing is wrong with the car
Thanks for the note...I'm in between boosting the Z and buying an EVO X.

its not much of a decision when choosing between a factory boosted car and boosting a NA car. factory down the road is always the better choice.

i guess it depends what you want. a reliable turbo'd car or an unreliable turbo car.

i will agree with you there.. its always best to start out with a car thats boosted from the factory.. no matter how much you over build and what you do.. something always happens
