I don't beleive so. It depends on the timing of the opening and closing events of the valves. The overlap at TDC tends to have the greatest impact, but the overlap at BDC will also affect it somewhat, but to lesser extent.

Talk with the manufacturer of the cams you are looking at to find out how the cams idle. I beleive that the GTM and BC Stage 1 cams, and the JWT S1 and S2 cams should be fine. Please note that the JWT S2 cams are milder than the JWT S1 cams.

I didn't look at that link until just now. Note he was running 114 octane race gas at the higher boost/hp levels. He only made 448 RWHP on pump gas with a 1.18 correction factor. That means his actual measured RWHP was 380 RWHP. Stock blocks do that all the time.

The corrected 560 RWHP correlates to 475 RWHP actually measured, and the corrected 597 RWHP correlates to 506 RWHP.

Even then, his testing was done on a DynoJet. The actual measured values correlate to approximately 342 RWHP, 428 RWHP and 455 RWHP as would be measured on some other dynos (e.g., Dyno Dynamics, Mustang, etc.).

Last but not least, here is what he said about his dyno session:

"For ***** and giggles we decided to turn up the boost and see how far the motor will go before it pops."

As others have said, if he runs that motor at 15-16 psi at sea level - KaBoom. He might get by for a little while with that boost level at his 5800 ft. elevation, but not for long, as he obviously knows, hence his comment above.

Again, you have a lot more research and learning to do, as evidenced by your posts. My advice, get a good tuner to guide you in your decisions. Otherwise, you may end up throwing away alot of $$$ and creating alot of frustration for yourself.

not pink and purple together.
and i want to do it to be different.
not the same ol white or black z....BORING!

see unlike you COACHK i like the looks on the outside(paint/body work)...well cause i can get the girl with the looks...
i can see where you like whats on the inside(engine) those girls have big hearts along with everything else....LMAO
sucks that i will have both!

yeah i know 11 seconds with 450whp lol....
can't wait till i get in the low 10's....

must be really bored...or you are taking a liking to me....

329whp uncorrected 400whp correct
street tires w/ 20 inch rims 13.52 was my best.

will have my cusco lsd and tein flex installed next week so might be able to improve a bit.

and only my 9th time ever down the track...

did run my 480whp 240sx (at sea level)
11.7 1/4 and have a video of that as well.
in alabama...
