Sorry to hear your bad luck trip OP.

But I know what it is to blow a motor, and be stuck with the same dilema you are in. I used to own a 2001 BMW 328i and blew that motor. I paid 3 grand for a new one from a auction, but that **** was ****ing JUNK lol.... well guess what third time was the charm.

I do not know much about how good some turbo kits are over others, but I do know that selling that Z is not worth your efforts. So I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted.

The stock VQ are just too weak to withstand boost in the long term. I remember engines were blowing left and right went the first turbo kit (IIRC it was Greddy) was released. No amount of tuning will make the engine take more than they physically can.

did you freeze your body and just finally got unfrozen two weeks ago? Greddy TT is currently one of the safest Kits with a proper EMS or even the original EMS with a timing harness

a little dated, but S12 is still fundamentally correct.

No amount of tuning will make the engine take more than they physically can.

i'm sure we'll start seein more popped HR motors.

Whos ready for pics. I would have had the pistons and rods out today but i couldnt get the god damn crank pulley off. So i tried to take the whole crank out and i couldnt get the girdle bolts off cuz of the socket design. im gonna go buy the socket tomorow and do this.

ya, your rod finally gave out and took out the oil pan. Guess it finally got tired of boost.
