today i when to get a new exhaust. when the put the car in the lift, i look under to see how everything is holding together and i found some back oily stuff coming out off the clamp that connects my upper pipe to my middle pipe.

is this something to worry about?
what can be causing this?

i check my oil and is good level and the color still like new. this stuff in my pipes is black and dont smell like oil, but it feels like it.

@ first I was going to say maybe some plastic got stuck on your exhaust
but then you say it really does feel like oil so I really don't know
except to think that you have some sort of fluid leak
