In my last build I had a 5/16" spacer and the Cosworth certanily outperformed that. I don't know if that is totally a fair comparison because I also had turbo blankets installed before the retune.

ON THAT NOTE: IF ANYBODY WANTS TO BUY THE GREDDY TURBO BLANKETS USED FOR THAT TUNE, THEY ARE FOR SALE AT A VERY GOOD PRICE:

https://my350z.com/forum/turbos-nitr...-and-misc.html

If it was the Turbo Blankets and not the Cosworth responsible for the HP gains, and you have a Greddy TD05H TT kit, then these are for you!!!

With the 5/16" Motordyne spacer, I measured 550 something RWHP, which weather corrected to 584 RWHP. With the Cosworth and the turbo blankets, I measured 609 RWHP, weather corrected to 603 RWHP (it was a cooler day).

EDIT: Check this forum for the difference between the 5/16" and 3/8" plenum spacers. The 5/16" spacer typically provides better torque/HP (as determined by area under the curve), while the 3/8" spacer may provide slightly more peak HP.

EDIT EDIT: I'll post my respective dyno graphs upon request, but I have posted them so many times that I'm afraid the forum members are tiring of seeing them. But I do like to post them, so just ask, and they will appear on Wed. (I may be out of touch most of later today).

It's always easy for someone to say "lol" and post some sort of meaningless comment. Unfortunately, it happens all too often in this forum. The people posting these comments may have good intentions, but often lack the knowledge and/or experience to give proper advice.

For example, when I first started down the FI path, I too originally thought the plenum spacers were the only answer to high HP. But review post #121 in the following thread where Hydrazine (owner of Motordyne) corrected my incorrect assumptions:

https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...plenums-7.html

At the time Hydrazine corrected my newbie post, I don't know whether he was envisioning 1,000 RWHP builds, but his basic assumptions about the Cosworth Plenum seem to correspond well to my previous build, even though I was not running 20 psi.

Does this mean that the Cosworth Plenum is the best choice for a 1000 RWHP build? Absolutely not.

Is the Cosworth Plenum the best bang for the buck? Not likely.

Does the Cosworth Plenum outperform a stock plenum with a plenum spacer for certain forced induction goals. Absolutely yes. Even the owner of Motordyne acknowedges this...

Is there another solution that will better meet my goals than a Cosworth Plenum? Maybe, but I haven't seen it yet. I am always looking, however.

I do know that in the RPM range I am most concerned with, the Cosworth outperformed a stock plenum with a 5/16" spacer. Moreover, based on the knowledge base here, the 5/16" spacer performs better than the 3/8" spacer for the torque curve I am looking for.

yeah, 3/8 is happy medium over the 1/2 and 5/16....no reason to jack around with 2 products to make money and confuse. I said 3/8 cuase, as you said, better peak Hp for the cost...as i said... i wont shy from testing this products out on high psi and rpms...lol i might end up having all of the above the way things are shaping up .
