EGT or Oil Temp Gauge?
Trying to gather the remaining parts for the powelab kit. Wanted to get your opinion on the guage which is more accurate to indicate an issue. I will have three gauges 2 of which will be boost and WB A/F ratio.
The last gauge I am undecided on. Do you already F/I guys prefer Oil Temp or EGT. If you had to choose which would you go with?
Thank you.

You already have A/F so you don't really NEED EGT if you know how to read the A/F properly and keep a close eye on it. Get the oil temp...cooked oil = fast track to fail.
Personally I went with EGT instead of A/F since I don't want to be constantly watching the damn thing all the time.

I would say neither and get an accurate water temp gauge instead. If EGT and Oil are your only options, then go with oil.
You could get one of the combo gauges that read several sensors, but most people don't use them all after a while and just keep one face the bulk of the time.

I keep having my A/F's go bad (sensors) so I'd say EGT. Can be very helpful at higher speeds too when running it hard.
As far as accuracy...They'll all be off somewhat (I'd say I've noticed 5%-10% depending on what is being read)...but all you need to know as the driver is where they should be in reference to that car. If you want better accuracy imo you'd use virtual dash set-ups off the EMS you're running and that gives you everything it's just not as easy to read on the fly.
