Default My Vortech 2.87 setup & dyno numbers =)

Whats up fellas!

This is technically my first thread in the FI section. I never had a chance to post up my numbers ever since I got the vortech. Finally have some time to do it now!

Well long story short, I did all the install myself in my driveway with a help of a friend which took us a good weekend but it was well worth the $ savings

again.. first , I would like to thank Chris who helped me with the install and also chef-j,sentry, str8dum1,tyler and Quamen. For helping and answering some of the questions

I got the car tuned locally. The car drives fine, my idle is perfect and my AFR is 11.2 at WOT. I was going to go at AAM and have Jeremy tune it but he left before I could oh well im happy with my numbers

oh and my seals and my bearings went bad so I upgraded to much better seals and new 65K bearings. I did the install my self so stay tuned for another thread of DIY:vortech & bearings

My mod list.

Vortech V2 ( non revup )
- new seals
- new 65K bearings installed ( recently )
2.87 pulley
UTEC
GTM pulley mod
Walbro 255
DW 600cc
AAM Oil return lines
NGK 1 step colder
MD 5/16
nismo exhaust
TestPipes.

AEM wide band gauge
Prosport Boost gauge
Prosport Oil temp gauge

What did it make??

415 rwhp 370 rwtq.

I dont have the 3rd dyno pull I cant find the paper. When I do ill post it up. But here is the 400/363 sheet

and the car

Very nice. How much did you spend, if you don't mind me asking?

I told my tuner that I wanted to keep it conservative. Even though some people have mentioned it... but iam afraid to do any tuning on the road with the utec. Iam not even sure how. If someone locally wanna help? ill give it a try I guess..

it is and that includes everything on the list except exhaust, testpipes and MD 5/16 I got really lucky. Probably give another 300$ for the seals and bearings but I did the install myself so that saved me again.

I have the 2.87 and my # are 420whp/348tq tuned by Forged. Looking at your mod list we seem to be similiar, just curious as to how your tq is that much higher?

You know what psi at redline?

Can not really see dyno sheet from my phone, but 400 on dyno dynamic is pretty good. I gotta check the dyno sheet when I get home tonight.

Congrat vas

Edit: got home look over your dyno and mine, pretty similar. But at high rpms you makes better power.

great number...

Can u explain more about the 65K bearing upgrade and how much extra is that? Does that mean your sc which is rated at 50K rpm can now withstand speeds as far as 65K without worrying about the impeller being destroyed?

Well since one of my bearings was busted ( the lower output shaft bearing ) and also my seals I decided to just upgrade to better seals and bearings.

I got the 65K bearings because well I dont have to worry about it anymore with the 2.87 shifting at redline.. as with the stock bearings I was close to over spinning the blower.

I dont think that the impeller will withstand speeds that high, at least the stock one, but I got it anyways because I plan to upgrade down the line to the 928.

My next step is the 928 and I would like to take it to 7K

oh and I got my bearings from Todd, www.superchargersrebuilds.com

Huuum, that's high numbers for your setup. Most people I see usually run around 380-390. Your motor must be a boost *****....LOL What's your A/F looking like? **I'm thinking agressive tune**
