I say go for test pipes and shoot for the moon. I wish I had gone with test pipes instead of the hfc when I got my tuned bc the tuner said it could ezly have gotten extra +10whp.

Very interesting. Time for test pipes! How many miles were on the HFC? It may be worth talking to the manufacturer.

You running HFC? surprised it still holding up there. I might just go ahead gut out inside of HFC metal substrate and keep that pipe. I think look for new TP, weld wideband gauge bug and waitting for shipping will much headche...Anyway that will works same as TP.

But...i hate rasp tho....

Wow...that's exactly what happened to me when I tuned for the 2.87...my stock cats were shot and leaning out the tune...I currently have crawfords, but I got them used and they've been though a few really rich tuning cycles...I'd better check them before my next tune for the SI trim....

Guess my hfc gave up with couple tuned times.

Guess my hfc finally gave up...

I do believe crawfords are ceramic? Mine is metallic and brand new(installed before first tune). I never thought my cat will shot after couple dyno tuned and dd.
But after hear from jared, now I understand why my car made a weird/struggle exhaust sounds at low speed and at idle.

But I'm still big fan of UR company tho

Today, jared is going to bust cell inside the hfc and tune this boy. If everything goes well with tune, I can pick it up early next week or so.

I don't think that will bother me at all, but I really have to see once I get my car and spend time with it. I mean if tune is right, there shouldn't be any knocks at all. I wouldn't much worry about what ems, I would more spend time to find a good tuner.

Your best bet is talk to tuner about it.

^bad news frankie. Jared couldn't gut that out. He said one side core is melted. Did contact with ultimate racing, but they doesnt cover core under warranty, plus they couldn't believe metal cat melt down. I mean I understand them that its metal core cat, but it happend. I have to show them a picture once I get the hfc back. My 500 dollars cats just fly out from me lol... Anyway test pipe will be on tomm. Hoooo......
