are people driving their cars before taking them to get tuned? ... i am assuming the FMU comes preset to run rich out of the box so as to not damage the engine?
please enlighten me on this subject

I believe you just need to adjust all the bars to the top so it'll basically be running hellashiously rich across the board. Even so ppl are seing around 350 rwhp with no worries about running lean and loosing a piston. Althought I wonder how much MPG you are getting with the DFMU pegged like that?
Imagine putting spark plugs on the exhaust pipes runing that rich with no cats, you'd be seeing some maddd flames lol

Incredibly stupid question that had me thinking...
If you have two fuel pumps, one to add fuel under boost, wouldnt it be possible if you are driving the car when you run out of gas, that one pump could have fuel, but the other not? Wouldnt that kill the engine?
What happens if the fuel pump breaks? From what I understand its not an issue on a car with an integrated fuel solution since the engine would just die, but if only one died it would go lean...

The pre-set settings are make the car run DANGEROUSLY lean...and the car should not be driven with these settings.....trust me on this one. I tuned my car yesterday on the Dyno and the settings were WAY off.
