We just installed a gtm stage 3 kit on a customers revup 350z. Its common sense to drop the motor to install the kit or it will be a pain to install. Rrgardless of the negative feedback in this thread, the knstall went flawless. No issues here. we will be pushin gtms parts til sam gives us a reason not to. Regardless the kit made 379 whp on a break in tune on 9psi on our low reading mustang dyno, built bottom end with gtm stage 2 cams and a bunch of other goodies. a 750 whp vette did 650 on our dyno. A stage 2turbo kit on a 370 made 389 whp on our dyno also. Sam, hit me up tomorrow and lmk when the exhaust is leaving.

Default GTM

Hi, I have just managed to read through this entire thread in one sitting....

While have read quite a bit on missing parts, fitting issues and delays getting the tune back, I am still very seriously considering the stage 2 kit.

I do believe that any tech challenge that comes up will be sorted by GTM. MIke has been super helpful so far.

I am after actual driving impressions, reviews of any kind from anyone who has fitted and run stage 1 or 2 kits.

Can anyone please help?

It's a lot of dough for me and I want to make sure I am making the right choice.

Thanks very much guys

As with any TT kit you choose, the car will feel VERY much faster and more fun. All kits are limited by the strength of the stock rods, so they all make similar whp and will have somewhat similar dyno curves. Bigger turbos come on later vs smaller turbos that max out earlier and so on...

Thanks very much! Sincerely appreciate the advise and help. I ordered the stage 1 kit + clutch. Any one who has this on a DE care to share any wisdom /advise ?

Is there really an issue where these turbos run out of breath ? Seems hard to believe,

Thanks again for all the support received from members. You know who you are.

^ good question. I know the stage 1 kit is rated to make up to 500whp, but i would also like to see what people are making with this kit on a built engine.

The only bad thing that I noticed about GTM kits is the exhaust manifolds. They tend to break easily.

Exactly ! I am planning on building my engine after using the kit for about a year. Would love to know what we can expect from the stage 1 kit and built engine.

Does anyone know the boost at which these turbos are the most efficient? (GTM ST1)

Also does anyone have a 0-60 or 1/4 time on this kit with stock boost?

Thanks again for taking the time to read and respond. The main reason I am actually going ahead with this project is due to the confidence given by members.

i plan on buying the stage 3 turbo kit, but do not plan on building the motor, would it be bad to run stage 3 on a stock motor?

Definitely go for stage 4 and don't run an exhaust past the headers

no reason not to get stage6. you will make 475whp at a much lower boost with alot more sound from the wastegates and turbines

Just run dumps right off the down pipes you can hear the turbos whistle and it sounds like chaos when your on the throttle.

I have a stage 2 with open waste gates and puts down 500 whp at 12 psi. the kit is capable of running up to 16 psi with the springs that come in the wastegates.12 psi is max recommened by Sam for stock block. go ahead and get the boost controller with it, I only run 8 psi in 1st & 2nd(due to tire spin) and up it too 12 for 3rd-6th.

How do you vary the boost by gear? Do you have a stand alone?

Why I was choosing a block I called GTM and after discussing my build with Sam we decided on the stage 0 shortblock for my car. With the gt28rs turbos my car put down 537hp on 93 octane. Plenty of power and I'm real happy with it.

Keep in mind if you're going much over 600whp you're going to need to sleeve the block which adds substantial cost to the build, and that wasn't worth it to me with my goal of having fun daily driver that sees occasional track use.
