you forgot valve to piston interference.

But sounds like the new build is underway! Those huge turbos you have should easily pop off 900 hp at some high boost!

good luck
Nope, it wasn't a built motor my friend, it was pistons and con. rods only, i think it had CJM fuel system, but i can't remember, the built engine came later and put 570rwhp before he felt some problems happening and he had to take out his engine and check it, as for the cam it was cracked but not broken, he broke it after taking it out from the heads.
I saw his con. rods and pistons and the whole block, it's pretty damn clean and i thought everything is new, but as he said, there is no problem with the engine, just took it out and found a surprise inside, thank god he did it, otherwise he would've end up with blown up engine.
Can't wait for next week for the piston rings, i'll help you there, i need my dremel .

I know a lot of people are wary of darton sleeves, but they work great if done correctly. For street or race applications.

Small tuner - If you plan on resleeving, I suggest getting a new shortblock to sleeve.
I have heard about overheating issues when using Darton sleeved VQ motors for road racing. What do you do to eliminate that issue?

install the sleeves properly, install the headgaskets/studs/bolts properly, and reinforce the cooling system with the proper supporting mods (fans that flow more cfm than stock in a well thought out shroud), radiator with more capacity vs stock, coating the exhaust manifolds/turbo's to keep heat inside, periodically inspecting the water pump and coolant system for signs of leaks, corrossion, etc

some also take it a step further and run distilled water, evans coolant, etc. I've never had the need to use that stuff in our track cars here (BMW, not Z's) - but certainly can't hurt. It should not need that sort of stuff to work efficiently, but it certainly can help the overall cause

a built motor consists or, primarly, aftermarket pistons and rods.

When someone say built motor i think of block, crank, pistons and rods all balanced together, never thought of pistons and rods as built motor .

I know some people in the z32 world do it. Fix the weak link but overall only pick up a few hp.

Anyway wheres that dyno sheet with superb af tuning? Also if my reading is accurate GTM built and sent you the last motor?

If you don't consider aftermarket pistons and rods to be a built motor, then I guess we don't have much else to discuss. Those are the primary components that make up a built motor, as 99.9% of people are using the stock block (there might be someone out there using something custom) and 99% using the stock crank. Any person building a motor surely is balancing the crank, pistons and rods before they install them. If they aren't, they should step away from the toolbox.

OP - good luck, hopefully you have better luck and are back on the road soon

LOL +1.

Why whenever someone install pistons/rods people go and say he broke his engine??

I'm not Omran btw, and his car is putting pretty good number, i hope SmallTuner upload his dyno runs sheet, also why would you attack him for no reason, your just jealous, so beat it.
And as a proof that you know nothing about cars, he doesn't need 272 cams for that horse power, people are doing it with 262 or 264 cams all the time, but your a noob that thinks bigger is better, sheesh you do not understand the difference between turbo and supercharger.
And btw, if he tuned your @$$ you'll be shitting all over the place .
