Default Quick question about oil in charge piping

I had a coupling blow off the other day and when I went to fix the broblem, I noticed a drip of oil coming off the charge piping. So I removed the Pipe leading into the TB and the inside too was coated in oil with a small pool of oil at the bottom "bead" portion. I add about a quart every 400-500 miles of 20-50 syn. Under boost I Have a very VERY small amount of smoke but its dark in color(fuel most likely) But when just revving the motor (no boost building) the smoke has a white tinge to it. Again just a lil bit of smoke.

The turbos were just inspected by Z fever racing and said to be fine and they had all new Stainless lines run to them for water and oil. The turbo kit is a 700bb JWT kit.

Does this sound like the turbo seals are leaking or the motor has a problem?

Do you have a catch can? Any PCV mods? Every 400 - 500 miles seems like excessive consumption... Is this a rev-up motor.

id say its gotta be the turbo's, oil getting past the seals..im not turbo but im supercharged and i dont use any oil whatsoever and have no oil in my charge pipes..

ive heard of these stories with turbo's though and it being the seals, t-netics mainly but idk good luck with finding it..u shouldnt be using oil though or smoking like that

A built motor may have looser cylinder wall clearances especially when cold so you could have some more blow by than a stock motor. It is also possible for turbos to leak oil secondary to increased crank case pressure. PCV drilled out? Are you drawing suction for the crankcase through the turbo side air intake (appropriate) or through the plenum (suboptimal). Do you have an open breather on there?

Search the threads for crankcase and you should find some discussions that might help you. Or you can check my build thread (link in sig) for the way I set it up. I have been able to get my car to smoke like the space shuttle (seriously) due to using poor quality crankcase hoses (which seemed fine but collapsed with heat).

I have an open air breather on the PCV and the greddy catch can.

If you're losing oil around the ringlands then I think it would show up in a leakdown test. If the leakdown comes through ok and you have drilled out your PCV and have an open breather on there, then it's got to be coming through the turbo seals. My first vote would be oil escaping past the piston rings though.
