Default TurboXS UTEC install

TurboXS with MAP sensor, software

Stock computer with bracket

Computer, bracket, with TurboXS attached

Where I cut the boot to run the MAP sensor

about to install in the dash

I hope this fitment is the same for everybody. It was so tight that I bent back some of the metal under the dash so it wouldnt scrape. The carpet against the firewall is so thick I had to shove it in and risk bending something
Not sure if I like the sag, but it looks way better than the open spot on the passenger side with no exhaust there
try bolting up into the crash bar i used three screws and it gave me a straight line as long as you dont mind drilling into your bumber

Default Fuel Pump

Removing from factory location behind the seat

removing the bracket

This little thing is easy to lose

side by side of the stock (left) and the walbro 255 (right)

Trimmed the white tabs to make the longer fuel pump fit. I didnt have to modify the plastic bracket at all, it actually fit fairly snug

Default A/C Lines

Stock lines before, Drivers side

Stock lines before, below windshield

Another view below windshield

Lower AC line vs powerlabs (longer)

Upper line vs powerlab (top)

Upper line with powerlab ac line installed

Lower line from powerlab only seems to fit going under the sway bar. Glad I didnt remove it now, makes it easier to figure out.

top down view of new lines installed on compressor.

Default Injector and plug install

Removing the upper plenum (motordyne plenum previously installed)

the plenum spacer is the white border

lower plenum removed

Preparing to remove the injectors from the fuel rail and install the new ones

comparison pic, deatschwerks on bottom

since i was in there, I replaced the injectors with http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NGK-6619/ Heat Range 6, Not easy to come by.

Back 2 cylinders had oil in the plug tunnel. Seems to be a common issue, I havent seen any oil burning. Not planning on changing the valve gaskets yet, hope it lasts a bit longer

Torquing the lower back on, what a tedious chore. 40 INCH lbs, then 80, then 100.

finally back together again after another round of torquing. Have to make sure not to squeeze the oil grommet in between plenums. already made that mistake once

Good to see you doing this yourself. You will see the benifit if something goes wrong down the road (hope it doesn't) , but you never know. It is a proven kit, just a bit too tight for my liking.

Good luch.

Default Oil Pan Spacer

Stock oil pan

Oil pan off

Before removing the sealant gunk

about as clean as I could get it

Installed the inside spacer before laying the sealant

I know its prob too much sealant, it was my first attempt. Hard to get a steady bead without a gun

Driver side view installed

Passenger side view installed

Also for whatever reason what takes one person 1 hour , it takes me 3. Its taken me weeks to get to this point.

what are you doing about the windshield washer? completely taking it off or do you have a replacement that will work with the kit?

awsome! it makes me honestly miss the days of doing my vortech install. I hated some things about it, but it was fun.

i'm curious what the washer tank has to do with anything? is it for intercooler fitment?

^^You have to totally remove the windshield washer tank to fit the massive 3 inch intake piping that comes off the intercooler to the intake. And also the radiator overflow tank gets removed and replaced with a smaller one.

Did you do the mod to the siphon valve and regulator when you installed the Walboro 255?

Do you mean drill holes in the side of the "bucket" ?
Yes, but I forgot to take pictures of it

or are you referring to the Swirl Jet mod?
I didnt drill out valve with a bit. The powerlab instructions dont mention it.
If I have fuel pressure probs I may have to go back and update it.

These instructions?
