So have you never gotten it resolved?

No its a constant issue since I did the twins.

I believe it to be Utec related also, however i've just recently started hearing mention of the software update which is something i'm going to try and look into, although I believe it is already updated.

Anyone got detailed instructions on how to do the earlier mentioned update? Assuming of course we have maps already.

^^ Let me know how it goes. I have a feeling mine is up to date as well (I already had it swapped out 5 months ago by Jermain himself at TurboXS). The problem became less frequent but it still happens once in every 5 warm starts I'd say. After each time the check engine light stays on for 75-100 miles or so...

This is very curious as it has only started in the past year or so.

Mine wasn't bad at all when I first did the install, about 4 months in though it started happening.

At first I thought water but that is not the issure otherwise there would be corrosion where water would be.

Sharif is the second person to mention the firmware update. I have to do my hw on how to take the maps and save them then update before I touch anything. Might just be easier to see what Sharif will do it for and how long it will take to get it back.

^Well, I went to Nissan and let them pound me in the *** for $100 to do their diagnostic test with the Consult II. Looks like I need a new pedal assembly (as Doug correctly guessed). Hopefully, it'll be here later this week and I can have this stupid issue resolved.

Did they do the test with or without the UTEC connected? I hope with it not connected, as the UTEC can create electrical 'ghosts' that will throw off the Consult...but since you're throwing different codes than the 'usual' UTEC codes they might be onto something real. Good luck.

I would have saved me $10.00, lol. I wasn't thrilled to have to shell out the money, but I felt like it was necessary to be sure that I wasn't going to **** away more money on an unnecessary part.

just seems like for the price of the diagnostics you could have just bought the part.

Anyway, we still up for this weekend?

New gas pedal assembly was $175, and I wanted to be absolutely sure I needed it. But yeah, we're still on for this weekend. I'll bring some beverages and we can make a night of it.
