Floppy FTW!!! We have 30 some Mori Sieki's and we still use serial ports (FTL).

Not to off topic, but Carl at 928 Motorsports and I were discussing you and Brandon the other day. We are going to be needing some intake manifold flanges made for you 6.4L 32V Bonneville motor soon and we were thinking about seeing if you guys were interested.

I'll hit you up in a month or so though.

I don't know how old the article is but SGP did his original engine about 4 years ago, he has done a ton of work on it since then and I believe that custom intake/intercooler setup he did himself.

he is not on here much but mainly on G35driver, I think his user name is crazyg or something like that

aluminum welds aside, there's alot of fabrication and time in that build. Mainly interested in the plenum design.

I can imagine there are more than a few people that would trade the ridicule of those welds for the setup and potential of that car.

Criticism of noticeably bad welds isn't trivial. Such lack of attention to detail displayed in those welds can be indicative and concerning that there are QC problems elsewhere in the build. The plenum volume looks pretty small too.

Besides, I'm mainly interested in Charles' plenum and the potential of his car.

Now, back on topic...

ohh ya, thats the guy that went 191mph in the standing mile down in Miami the other week.

Sure seems like there musta been some serious QC issues due to those welds to go that fast

Cool. Good for him. The welds still look like *** and I stand by the logic in my prior post. I don't see the relevance of that car to Charles' build. Maybe you should start you own thread about that car and quit hijacking someone else's.

Now, back on topic...

Any updates or progress Charles?

Looking forward to it Charles. I'm more interested in your build than any of the other builds that are currently ongoing.

Rude,

Actually.....the welds aren't indicative of quality control on this build. Mike is a "do it all" kind of guy. He wanted to create this setup that he came up with.....so he went out and and bought the tools, the welder, etc.......and he taught himself to weld aluminum. As a novice aluminum welder, it is going to show in the "beauty" of his welds. so what you see was Mike learning to weld. They may not be beautiful, but Mike built his G into what he wanted. I'm sure he would go back and change those welds on the pipes if it really bothered him.

Charles,.....apoplogies for continuing on the off-topic. I love you new setup. I can only dream to have access to all your tools!
