Default REV-UP VORTECH #'s (455 whp 400 wtq).

We had a weekend z club meet at L.E.P performance here in las vegas which included a dyno day. well i decided to throw the z up on the dyno and see what it would put down since the last time i dynoed the z was two years ago at GTM. The mod's that i have done since my last dyno/tune session at GTM 2years ago are as follows.

1.removed kinetix 2.25" HF cats, installed APS 2.5" test pipes
2.removed custom 2.5" dual exhaust system, installed fast intensions intimidator 2.5" dual exhaust system
3. removed Si-trim vortech impeller and reinstalled the Sc-trim impeller
4. reconfigured my crank case ventilation system to atmosphere rather than to the intake side of the supercharger system/negitive pressure side. " both catch cans are vented to atmosphere".

a/f ratios looked satisfactory at around 11.5 to 12.0 on my wide band. timing was left conservative from my last tune that Sam did.

the results were 455 RWHP 399.8 RWTQ DJ numbers.( PREVIOUS NUMBERS 430 RWHP 390 RWTQ on GTM DJ ) . i will post up a copy of the dyno graph later when i get back to the house due to i do not have a copy here at work. remember this is a rev-up vortech system that i converted to a non revup cog system. 32 j/s cog, 28 s/c cog 2.87 serp pulley.
here is one pic of the z on the dyno.

Hmmmm...so either the test pipes freed up quite a bit of power, or the SC trim is better than the SI trim

my si makes 457/405 on a dynodynamics so its not the impeller

I'm sure Vegas being in the 60's also helped some as well

thats great news the car is running great Jet! very consistent

Last time i dynoed and tuned at GTM with the Si-trim Sam told me that the boost numbers were higher with the Si-trim impeller but my AIT#'s were quite a bit higher as well. Sam instructed me back then that he felt the Sc-trim would be a better choice to go back to due to he has seen lower AIT's with Sc impeller versus the Si-trim. looks like he was right...........i am sure if i had a larger intercooler and water meth injection the Si-trim would have been better for more overall power. BTW i only burn 100 octane fuel with this setup. i want to go with watermeth eventually.

yes it was nice and cool!!! that helped as well. i can't remember what the ambient temps were in cali two years ago but i do remember it being cold as hell due to Sam had to loan me a sweat shirt. i was freezing my *** off around midnight when we were performing some of the final tuning.

Very Nice Jet.. I have been looking a the V3 system for my RevUp.
I had also seen your setup on the Vortech FAQ: read this before asking Vortech questions thread. Now you gone an made it even better. I am really liking your Tq numbers.

Thanks, the key to making the higher TQ numbers on the rev-up kit is the conversion to the non rev-up cog system. 32/28, 2.87serp instead of the 34/32.

Yea. After reading the whole "Vortech FAQ: read this thread before asking Vortech questions" thread that's what I got out of it. Your setup is the best I have seen to date. I maybe calling GTM about my V3 Kit and Osiris tune for it. I live in FL so It's going to be a self install thing.

and to be topped by
https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ake-power.html

unless you meant on a rev-up in which case Jet prolyl has the most R&D time to get it just right by far!

next will be built short block " just started disassembling my spare engine for my build" 9.5:1 compression, stock heads and cams, T-trim head unit, larger IC, water/meth injection with 100 to 150 shot of nitrous for good measure when needed.

I don't remember, but did you try the 34/28 combo?

Nevermind, I re-read your SI trim thread and you never tried the 2.87 34/28 combo...I wonder if there would be mechanical issues (ie breaking the cog belt) with the 34/28 2.87 combo...
