More power, with more rpm or more boost (for Vortech)
Reading Jet Mech's thread has brought some questions to my mind about my future Vortech setup, but I didn't want to hijack his thread :
I will be getting a built engine soon so I won't have to worry about PSI issues, or revving over 7000 rpm (at least from a SC point of view). Now, I there are 2 ways to get to the 60k rpm limit of the 928 modified blower I just got. Using the Vortech Impeller calculator, I got these number (note: I have a Revup vortech setup)
run 2.87, 34/28 cog pulley setup, Set my rpm redline to 6800: 59720.43 rpm
run 2.87, 34/32 cog pulley setup, Set my rpm redline to 7200: 59513.79 rpm
Any one have any ideas which will yeild more horsepower? If I use the 34/28 combo and lower my redline to 6800 rpm am I losing potential power?

^ you also have a T trim with HD gears
boost is completely dependent on impeller speed. it doesnt matter how you get it. I have about 200 logs and have shown the data before where i plotted my various pulley configs but based on impeller speed. All the curves overlay almost perfectly
Thats the beauty of the supercharger.
also, if you searched, this exact thread had been discussed before...
